I worked at a hospital for 16 yrs. and I have nothing good to say about administration. I stayed for the best pay in little NW Indiana. I'm a retired nurse and loving it!

Hospital administration thinks employees are not an asset, but a necessary evil. They do the absolute bare bones minimum to recruit and retain. Minimal raises, benefits, as little wages as possible.
Patients are treated as a source of income. Insurance wants to do the minimum required, forcing patients to jump through hoops for necessary care. Then the hospital charges the max amount of money they can, and bill the patients what insurance doesn't pay. They even bill patients before insurance pays, hoping to get more money out of patients.

@@Rickettsia505That's a huge generalization. I've had experience from a different perspective. I'm a retired Occupational Therapist who worked in many long term care and skilled nursing facilities. Yes, some were better than others, none perfect, but administration in a majority of them were caring and regarded their staff as an asset. Twice I got a taste being on the other side following major surgeries. After a back surgery the facility I rehabbed in was wonderful. I even called the administrator while there to meet with him and let him know how great the staff was, they were caring, call bells were answered quickly ; I got great care. Told him I wanted to make a point of letting him know since administrators tend to hear only negative comments. He was very appreciative, said most of the staff had been there a long time, turnover was really low.

Off the top of my head, my son and DIL pursued IVF in order to become the parents of two, my closest relative only discovered infertility after years of trying to become a parent, and several close friends would have loved to have become mothers and never could. Why is JD Vance intentionally insulting the childless? I’m also nauseated by his excessive self-congratulation over his fatherhood. Only time will tell *how good a father* he actually is.
