- The fated return to no damage! And who else but Yakuza 2's best boss, Hayashi, to mark it.
I've wanted to come back to Hayashi ever since I first started "re-doing" bosses in Yakuza 2, with my Majima/Gary video. But I could never find an interesting way to re-do him, like I could with Majima. That was until now of course, with my discovery of Lotus Flare Fist's unseen power 😈.
Regardless, hope you all enjoyed the video - this might be my last Yakuza 2 video for a while (admittedly, I have been uploading exclusively Yakuza 2 recently...), but be prepared for more bangers.

It's honestly shocking how many tools you have to work with in the event you wring this game dry of every ounce of content it has to offer. Every single one of them was used to fantastic effect here, a straight up flawless fight

The health distribution between bosses in this game was odd, you’d normally expect the final boss or Amon to have this kind of health but for some reason Hayashi has it, then again yakuza 3 and 4 also had some odd health distribution as well.
not like it matters cause ryuji dosent take much damage from your hits unlike hayashi who takes more damage

So glad that people can finally play yakuza 2 on the go without a ps2 portable or laptop thanks to aethersx2 now more people can play this amazing game!

Yeah, can't really mod a PS2 game's gameplay either way but it's the base game. Definitely worth playing

hey cool video dude i know it old thanks to you it kind motivated me to try to play this old ass game on emulator althought it kind hard though i ngl because there no english especially substories i failed a couple of them even missing some too even after checking guide i missing some of them lead me to can't completed them anymore so it kind impossible to get the slap heat action atm seriosuly substories in old yakuza are so brutal if you choose wrong dialouge the substories will end

Late reply but you can buy a DVD called Space Ninja 3 in Beam and then watch it at Fusion. Your body needs to be at level 8 for it to be unlocked

Your telling me you can do finishing holds even when the enemy is blocking? Why can't future games aside from 1 and 2 do this?
It’s actually quite interesting, I’m not sure about how Yakuza 1 handles it since it’s been a while since I played it (I’m sure it’s the same though), but if you get the FIRST hit to land in the square -> triangle combo, the finishing hold will land regardless of whether or not the enemy blocked the hit (the enemy’s guard does have to break though). You can see, I punched Hayashi once before doing that finishing hold to see if he would block it (he did), so I hit him again and it worked.
Now you know how much thought I put into my videos 🤣 maybe I’ll make a quick video explaining this mechanic

Dude I don't know if you can help me (since you're now the only person in earth that plays yakuza 2) I wanted to do all the side missions and complete all the coliseum, however, In order to do that I need to perform all the heat actions first... ONE of them is when you defeat the final boss, Ryuji, BUT once you do that they leave you a last chance to save the game (Just once) , when I overwrote my game it doesn't allow me to play that file anymore... How am I supposed to get the 100% then?
Oh, this is a simple fix, currently you’re trying to open that save file in its “game clear” form. What you need to do to play on it is to make either a Premium New Game file or Premium Box file FROM your save file, then you can start playing on it. Premium New Game will let you start the game again with all your skills and completion, while Premium Box lets you explore the world freely with only your skills (your completion is wiped).
I highly recommend you still keep your game clear save intact too, after you make another file from it.

how do you get the payback ring in the Yakuza 2 on the ps2.
Only way is just before the final boss's fight in the metal stairway, I think it's behind some crate. If you want a good guide to find items and stuff this is the best one, you can search for stuff using Control+F gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/935326-yakuza-2/faqs/58379

@@thatitalianlameguy2235 I used a PS4 controller, obviously you can't get rid of the input lag but I found that 1) wireless is actually less delayed than wired and 2) if you play for longer the delay does get worse especially if you use stuff like the frame limit disabler to speed up the game
