Bigger TURBO! & Coolant Ball delete- Mk4 VW GLI

In today’s episode, the Mk4 GLI gets a K04 Turbo upgrade, some bigger fuel injectors, and I finally delete the ugly coolant ball! I ran into some MAJOR issues along the way...

SMoke is normal for every turbo swap. It needs to burn off all the stuff that's been on it.

I'm upgrading mine also upgrading injectors everyone is telling me to upgrade fpump too. Some told me yo get the ttrs pump was wondering what you guys using?

3” catless down pipe, 3” midpipe, step down to 2.5” catback with a fake titanium muffler 🤷🏽‍♂️ The tune is what makes it crackle and pop. Custom file from Lowlyfe Tuning

I'd never trust a Chinese manufactured turbo for any price...hopefully yours worked out okay for you though.

Yes the turbo is still running strong! I don’t drive the car very much, so it sits for weeks at a time. What part of the install are you having trouble with?

@@thecolemangarage putting the manifold bolts that connect to the turbo, for some reason the holes don't line up properly

@@jonasoviedo6672 Install the turbo to the manifold first, before putting on the downpipe or intake. I never removed my exhaust manifold but I did have to remove/install the turbo like 4 times before everything fit right

Thank you! Yes. All Mk4 1.8t GLI’s are AWP, and all 20thae GTI’s, and 337.

It’s very similar, and yes it’s still a good motor. But the AWP comes stock with 180hp while all the other 1.8t come with 150hp
