  • Tyrese aka Darrel from Evan's detailing and polishing shows how simple polishing a peterbilt grill can be with the right process. Keep in mind this is only the third time he has polished a grill and he is killing it. I've watched this young man grow a lot over the past few months and his buffer control is growing everyday. I truly hope these videos are helping you learn how to properly polish metal. Be careful and stay safe.

    Love the videos. I've been doing alot of metal polishing myself lately but the one question I have is that I see alot of you guys using 6000rpms instead of the 3500 variable speed. What flanges are you using because the zephyr one is only rated to 3500???

    Hey Evan,
    I'm.wondering about this
    I have an 2011 honda odyssey aluminum wheel I'm sanding faulty clearcoat down to 600 grit and polish with mothers polish and then clearcoat 5 coats to offer protection so raw aluminum is not in the air. I'd rather leave the polished surface but presume it will oxidize quicker with no protection. So I clearcoat and the shine then comes from the clearcoat vs all that nice polishing. What do you think am I doing the right thing?

    • @EvanStegerMetalPolishing
      @EvanStegerMetalPolishing  2 года назад +1

      Most clear coats won't stick over proper polis. You'll also need more than mother's polish over 600 grit. Mother's isn't very abrasive.

    • @EvanStegerMetalPolishing
      @EvanStegerMetalPolishing  4 года назад

      You can do it however you want. Our videos aren’t guidelines. They are videos of how we do it. Many do it differently. And that’s ok too.
