What really makes this game terrifying is that even at the end, you have no idea if this was real or just a dream/hallucination. Did you die in that car crash or are you still alive? Nothing is certain, and nothing is explained completely.
Yeah they left you with a lot of unanswered questions, very vague. What happened is Dhaliah was a high priestess in a cult and were to sacrifice the little girl to call upon a demon. The girl survived and the demon was fed by the girls suffering. But it wasn't enough power for them to use so she had another child and planned to do the same thing. Lisa knew the truth about Alyssa and what her mother had done to her. So she stole the baby and left it for strangers to find on the side of the road. The 2 girls were connected and part of the same whole, the demon Dhalia was intent on bringing into this world(kinda like that movie Heriditary" but the demon also gave Alyssa power. When Harry brought Cheryl to Silent Hill, the 2 halves were united and became one. Alyssa now has the power to create her own world and draw others into it(dark silent hill)and she used that power to hide from her mother in dark silent hill, which was Alessas world. It was a terrifying place because that's what her life was and filled with monsters(the people in her life using her). She convinced Harry to use the flaurus to bind Alessas power and capture her with the help of Harry "now were all indebted to this man for his help!" Thats why Harry finds himself in nowhere after Alessa was captured by her mother. Her power was now bound and therfore the world she created fell apart and no longer had any meaning... hence nowhere. There were 2 figures next to Dhalia. Alessa in her spirit form from which she escaped her body. And Alessas body in the wheelchair, horribly burned. When she said "she's right there and pointed to Alessas burnt body" she already knows the 2 have become one through the demon, through the spell. At the end Alessa reappears in her original form and hands Harry a baby. She is the one holding the baby AND the baby at the same time. The baby was renamed Heather to avoid the cult who was now looking for them.
yes they are two different game resident evil's main focus are horror, suspense and action while silent hill is deeper than that horror, psychological, tragedy, redemption and many more so you can't really compare the two both are good on their own respective
Silent Hill is the best horror franchise! This theme and intro always makes me nostalgic... I miss SH sooo much T_T. I used to watch my big brother play this in the 90s and it was my first horror game I saw. Thanks for uploading this.
i was an international student in west Virginia 2012 to 2016 , i was shocked / scared when i found out the game story was based on a city in PA / wv . it was scary and somehow fun lol.

Agora, já adulto, pretendo retomar a experiência, mesmo sabendo que jamais repetirei a inocência da primeira experiência, pois aqueles tempos de despreocupação e descobrimento inicial do universo dos games não voltam mais.

@@shahrouh true, but one of the non-canon ending, I believe Bad+, is FMV of Harry with bloody wound on his head after the car crash.
