As a printer that happens to watching this, the style of paper that appears to have been necessary to work with for the quality of the reproductions that you celebrated is probably related to the fact that some of the pages stick together. I'm not completely sure, but I used to do perfect binding for reproductions of collections at a museum and the paper was always very resistant to that process (that is, if there is any glue involved this will happen).
Yeah I am also constant wondering why dust covers are still a thing. Stunning book. Goes on my list. :)
Your diplomatic description of Dr Skinner brought a smile to my face 😉. Indeed it made me realise that it is probably more his personality traits than the ceremonial practices that have had the biggest impact on me.
I've listened to an interview of him last night where he says that if you seek spiritual growth you won't find it with magick. Like "go do yoga instead". I mean, please...
It's great that this book includes the photos of the original manuscript. Very nice.Thank you.
I've been looking for this review for a long time. Thank you, friend!
I've been failing the community by hanging on to this one...
The gap is now filled :D
i do admire your wonderful library! you've inspired me to take better care of my own books!
44 is my stalker number, and before I hit the like button there was 244👍. I literally just commented something similar on another channel 🤣 🤘💜🤘
Nice synchronicity. Just yesterday I was reading about the Ars Notoria in Llewellyn's Ceremonial Magic and then I got the notification about this video. Thanks a lot. Awesome channel.
I always get excited when you drop a video My friend,I just Love and admire your collection.I personally want this book for personal practice as it contains the multiple varieties of the “Ars Notoria” manuscripts,I remember when I Printed my copy when I was in high school back in 08’ when this was just surfacing within the new decade of the millennia via the Internet. Much Love and Reverence!

Can you learn Calculus with this? That requires understanding as well as memorization. If it requires a couple of months of meditation, it would be faster to do it the normal way.
Fascinating! Have you ever tried to employ this kind of ‘mnemonic magic’ (be it Bruno or Ars Notoria) in your own your own practice? Currently writing my dissertation and am wondering if I should try my hand at it! Haha. I often wonder if Terrence McKenna practiced this kind of system, his ability to hold forth for such long periods with such instantaneously recalled details has always impressed me and made me wonder if he was influenced by De Umbris Idearum or similar literature.
How is the result? May I ask?
There's a video of McKenna explaining the memory palace technique as well as medieval mnemonic images
Another amazing review. Many thanks 🙏
Foolish Fish and The Glitch Bottle....my two favorite youtubers.
You have good taste 😄🙏
Stephen Skinner amazing
So many books.... a little overwhelming, I have no idea where to start, or to be honest what to start! thanks for another review.
Great book! A more complete version and images are joust perfect. Great review as always! Thanks
The content of this book is very interesting.
Do the prayers in this book have an effect?
Very useful ✨ do you know any magick grimoires that can be used by artists (like dancers, painters etc)
Very happy you reviewed his version of the Ars Notoria. Do you have interest in reviewing his version of the Voynich Manuscript? Dr. Skinner on the glitch bottle podcast gave some interesting insight into in what he viewed as the orgin of the coded language written in the Manuscript.
You definitely need to collaborate with Thomas Sheridan!!!
So it's like a magick primer for rapid learning?
That's right 😊
For some reason the cover reminds me of the Vonage Manuscript.
"Let's say just strongly held opinions"
😂
Air con in the background maybe!
Excellent. And thank you. Could you consider listing these excellent publishers you’re aware of? I mean all of them. A sort of meta review if you will.
Guys I need this! I play the violin (not so well) this is one of the reasons why I went into the occult ahahahaha hope the praxis comes soon
keeps getting pushed back... Currently expected late April
I thought looking at the notae before the prayers broke the protocol of the ritual
Yes, that is also my understanding, though I'd imagine that there's a difference between 'glancing at' and 'studying closely'
This book has interested me for a while ever since I saw that podcast. Yes he is opinionated 😆. He thinks that spirits are tricked by paper crowns and paper talismans. But like you said he is an amazing scholar of the lost grimmoires.
Whats on page 33 and 55 and 77? I read numbers...could see some 22s there..hmm...I have about 10 books to read before I can think if this one..lol..from sacred geometry and magical symbols to Shambhala...cant be a true Mystic uf one doesn't understand the knowledge *knowsis (god promises to give and does ! 8n light love and peace
No one appreciates book construction more! Much of what you notice, I merely accept as a nuisance Thank you.
What’s part 2 called?
I think you should put snippets in your video
Hi, I am a little confused. I am intrigued by the "fast learning" concept in the Note, ( The Grimoire of Rapid Learning by Magic) however, I'm not sure which book do I need? Do I purchase the Lemegaton and the Ars Notoria book or does the Ars Notoria book have the Note in it and I won't have to purchase both books? Also where and how do I find, in the the book(s) what you are mentioning about the "fast learning" concept? Thanks so much.
According to Dr Skinner (I'm afraid I have no way of confirming), you need his 2 volumes and that's all. No earlier widely published edition has the full picture (figuratively and literally). The version found in the Lemegeton is unworkable.
Ars Notoria is the name of the Grimoire that deals with fast learning. Lemegeton is a collection of grimoires, an anthology, so to speak, that usually contains "Ars Notoria". So it's the whole of "Ars Notoria" you would have to read, and this 2 volume edition should talk you through every aspect of it you need to actually put it to work.
@@FoolishFishBooks Hi I was wondering if one needs a full altar for this practice? Thank you brother 🙏🏻
So are you aware of anyone doing the practice and does it actually work?
I guess Dr Skinner and possibly Daniel Clark would be the only ones who have had access to the essential Version B so far, let's see what happens when that's released in the next few weeks.
@@FoolishFishBooks well ? Anyone tried it ?
Is there any resource, like Ars Notoria, but rather for Left Hand Path practicioners? I mean instead of focusing to Angels, the focus is on Demons or just infernal spirits?
yes. lots.
@@thomasleak Can you, please, name a few of them?
LHP is pretty lot
most of the lemegaton is focused on working with demons
Could a complete beginner utilize this?
Dr Skinner has made the work accessible, but I'd say this is quite an ambitious first working! 😳
@@FoolishFishBooks Where do you recommend I start if I need to work up to this?
@@chriscash782 Gallery of Magick is always my first recommendation for absolute beginners.
@@FoolishFishBooks I don’t see it on Amazon do I have to buy somewhere else? Thanks
@@chriscash782 on Amazon, search for "Damon Brand" any of his books. The Gallery of Magick is the group of magicians he is a member of. So depending on your preferences, you might pick "72 Angels of Magick", or "Magickal Cashbook", or "Success Magick", or whatever else. I recommend NOT getting their awful paperbacks, and sticking to their Kindle editions.
Pardon? A notorious arse 😳 oo er! ❤
So you know how much self control it took to stop myself from opening with a childish joke? 😂
