Another well shown real world repair.
Somewhere I still have a small bottle of Trustan 23 from the early 1980s, great suff. I put it on a paint chip that went rusty once and then forgot to put the paint on the next day, year later the chip was still fine and black as it would have been the year before when I should have covered it with paint. IIRC I left it like that until the car and I parted ways.

Good work. Doesn't have to be perfect on a 20 year old car. I've done similar on our old cars a 2003 k12 micra and a 2006 Jazz. Both are really solid underneath. Had the Jazz undersealed as a precaution. I've done all wheel arches and sills as a precaution. I use Hammerite Kurust. A little goes a long way. Costs about £7 for a small 125 ml. Milky stuff works well.

thanks good video, i jsut wanted to see how the stuff works more than anything. I'll probably sand a larger area and primer, sand and paint it as it's on the top of the wheel arch and want to keep the car looking pretty

Step 1: Laid a water permeable membrane to minimise weeds. Step 2: Fitted a soakaway close to the house. Step 3: Added tons of gravel. The gravel gets topped up every few years.
