As for battery life, my 16 Pro Max blows my former 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max out of the water. I did not buy this phone for the AI, I bought it for the larger and more efficient battery and it has delivered.
My 15 pro max at 87 percent health was dying around 4-5pm lol. My 16 pro max can last me the whole day with about 25-40 percent left. 15 pro max especially with updates and degraded battery is the worst I’ve seen in a few years. Worse than the 14 pro max, 13 pro max and on par with 12

I'm still on 13 pro max and still works great. Battery is showing 85% health, but I use constantly through the day scrolling instagram, watching youtube, and playing games, with very little cell service. Besides having better cameras, I personally don't see a reason to upgrade.
I went from iPhone 8 to 16 Pro Max. There's a big overall improvement, however the touch sensitivity is worse. The biggest thing noticed is how quickly apps download and start up. I like the improved battery health settings; I'll own this for several years. Didn't like how the lenses protrude without a case, but I'm comparing this to the 8 and don't know what the 14 or 15 are like.
Upgraded from iPhone 14. Has a few scratches and dropped it on concrete at my job. But still in tact with a few scratches and works amazing. Battery life is perfect. I don’t even know if I want to upgrade when the 17 or 18 come out
I have been using my 16 pm since launch day. The durability has been a lot better than what I had with my 15 PM. Battery life is absolutely amazing. I have black and desert titanium 16 PM. One negative for me is that the color on the black phone doesn't hold up great. But the durability in general is amazing.
@ I found that some of the finish came off of it. Now I'm saying it looks horrible. Only in one spot the finish came off of it. But the black titanium is not my main phone the desert titanium is. So I don't get why the finish came off of it even though that color is not my main phone.

Upgraded couple of days ago from 13 pro max sierra blue to 16 pro max desert titanium. It’s really worth to upgrade, you will see the difference. Personally for me it’s new screen and the power a18 chip, super fast and powerful, huge difference. 16 pro max it’s a peak of power will be hard to impress again.
Camera control button is nice, I use it multiple times per day. Missed opportunity for a fingerprint sensor though. I regret not going for the 16 pro max for battery life and screen size, but I should have expected that given my 6-9 hours of screen active time daily. All in all not a bad phone. The videos are phenomenal on this thing.

I got the Aramid fiber version, I like that it keeps that slim sides to the phone while still offering drop protection from flat surfaces.
You’re not alone I see that a lot. I personally really enjoy it. Especially with baby. I could care less about the swiping it provides but quick access to the camera has been a huge benefit. Takes me back to my days with a BlackBerry having convenience buttons.
i went from the 14 pro max to the 16 pro max and love it. I don’t use Apple intelligence on this or my s24 ultra so that is not the reasons i upgraded. but its still a great phone.

About to upgrade my 12 pro to a 15 pro max, I personally don’t like the 16pm cuz it’s waay too big. I hate max iPhones already and I’m not about to get a much bigger one, nonetheless I’ve heard good things about the 16 lineup
iOS 18.2 has resolved the jittering issues, but they still occur about 10%-20% of the time throughout the day. The camera zoom performance at 5x needs improvement. The touch responsiveness issue is slightly still present. Although the 120Hz update has improved scrolling consistency in the latest update, it’s not entirely consistent across the UI and apps.
everything is fine, except the touchscreen. this has been the weirdest "upgrade" experience i have ever had, and i update phones yearly or bi-yearly. the 16 pro max has the worst touchscreen experience i have ever had.
I’ve had the 16 Pro Max for one month now and here are the issues I’ve ran into: - Camera sometimes doesn’t load (shows black) and takes a few restarts to get it - Face ID has a 1 second delay and also isn’t recognizing my face very well for some reason (my previous 15 Pro was lightning fast and never had an issue for 2 years) - HUGE battery drain with Apple Intelligence turned on. I had to turn it back off because it was so drastic. - iOS 18.2 update hurt the battery life already, and it was a brand new phone - flashlight sometimes doesn’t turn on and takes a few tries Other than that, the phone is great. But these issues I’ve experienced are terrible. Never had them with any iPhone before (except for the iOS update issue, classic Apple scheme to ruin your phone sooner). But the A18 Pro chip is a great improvement.

Just gave my 16 pro max to my daughter and bought a 16 pro and also have the 16, the 16 and 16 pro are very similar and not many people will notice the pro motion display. The max size is great but this year the battery is lasting on the pro version all day for me and gives me less hand cramping. Still have some touch screen issues on the max but if you volume up /down and hold the power button to reset it, seems to help. Hopefully iOS 18.2.1 is released soon to finally fix it
Yup, everyone I know that upgraded does not use the button. Personally I chose to stick with the 15PM and am waiting to see how the 17 PM raises the bar.
Love my 16PM, went from 14PM, I’m into playing round with music and photography, there are quite a few things that the 16 pros do that are non AI related that the 15 pros can’t do for music/photog etc, layering of voices over instrumentals and stuff can even been done through the voice memos app then through logic etc.. even if I wasn’t into music n photog/vid it was still a awesome upgrade from my 14PM

I really like the 16 Pro Max. I have to say that the Camera Control, with 18.2 is now quite good. The customizability and * Visual Intelligence * alone make the button worth it. Yes, to switch between modes, and take photos, it’s faster to use on screen controls. But it’s good for video and certainly for launching the camera. Action button is great for shortcuts, but not placed well for launching the camera. I disagree that CC should not have been added. Apple can improve the functionality of the CC button even further in the future. Audio Mix feature and A18 Pro chip rock.

Smashed my 16 pro max case with spigen screen protector and smashed completely. In fact it went thru the screen protector and damaged part of the screen. I got a free screen replacement but I never had this issue in my life before. I’m. Going back to amfilm protector.
I have an iphone 15 plus and I don't run any betas at all but my phone still shows update finishing in the background. It has been more than 1 week and every night I have 3+ hours of screen off due to these update processes. How to fix.
I had that too and reached out to Apple support. Heard back today that it’s a bug and only affects a few people they are working on it. Turn off automatic updates and install.
My iPhone 16 Pro gets warm to the touch when I start using the Playground App. It’s like using a lot of processing power in the app and then the screen dims due to the phone being too warm and one has the same issue?
Does anybody has issues with IPhone 16 pro max screen refresh rate drop. It feels very sluggish. It happens on Apple and third party apps. Reboot fix it but it comes back.
Going from the 14 PM to the 16 PM I have way noticed the glass is better by a wide margin. I have the natural titanium and I do not have the rear scuffs like your black one does, and we seem to handle our phones about the same.
Not a bad device, but I wouldn’t buy it today unless you already had it a year ago. Since it doesn’t have Apple Intelligence or any of the new features, I would buy the 16+.

Hello Aaron, my friend I received my 16 Pro Max a few days ago and yeah that one button is different but I find myself using it for the zoom in and out on the camera and that works really good. I mostly use it for that and the rest of the time I don’t, butI got the black with the OtterBox case so I do have a blue case but anyway I will report back and tell you how mine holds up but it is a nice phone my new favorite phone. I like it thanks again, man and merry Christmas.

My iPhone 16 pro, started to scratch millimeter all four sides. Went to apple store and they said its because of dust in my case. What absolute nonsense. Titanium shouldn't scratch that easy, especially when phone is in my case/pocket. Would understand some sand etc. The phone has never been dropped. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Yes, I upgraded from 14 pro max to 16 pro max and battery life is noticeably improved. Easily lasts a day and a half for me.

I disagree. I see little to no difference after upgrading from my 13PM. I only changed it because I dropped it and it was damaged.

I have an iphone 15 plus and I don't run any betas at all but my phone still shows update finishing in the background. It has been more than 1 week and every night I have 3+ hours of screen off due to these update processes. How to fix.
I had that too and reached out to Apple support. Heard back today that it’s a bug and only affects a few people they are working on it. Turn off automatic updates and install.

it always takes some time to open the camera on my 16 pro max
My iPhone 16 Pro gets warm to the touch when I start using the Playground App. It’s like using a lot of processing power in the app and then the screen dims due to the phone being too warm and one has the same issue?
Went with desert 16pm, so far so good.
My battery health rn is at 96% n still having drainage n I have to charge my phone at least twice before going to sleep at night ❤😊

Does anybody has issues with IPhone 16 pro max screen refresh rate drop. It feels very sluggish. It happens on Apple and third party apps. Reboot fix it but it comes back.
Going from the 14 PM to the 16 PM I have way noticed the glass is better by a wide margin. I have the natural titanium and I do not have the rear scuffs like your black one does, and we seem to handle our phones about the same.
Best battery life so far, but the heavy phone hurts my hand even with a pop socket. Otherwise it’s a great phone.

Not a bad device, but I wouldn’t buy it today unless you already had it a year ago. Since it doesn’t have Apple Intelligence or any of the new features, I would buy the 16+.
Can someone please explain, some people have WiFi and data turned on both at the same time. Is it WiFi being used to data 😭

Hello Aaron, my friend I received my 16 Pro Max a few days ago and yeah that one button is different but I find myself using it for the zoom in and out on the camera and that works really good. I mostly use it for that and the rest of the time I don’t, butI got the black with the OtterBox case so I do have a blue case but anyway I will report back and tell you how mine holds up but it is a nice phone my new favorite phone. I like it thanks again, man and merry Christmas.

My iPhone 16 pro, started to scratch millimeter all four sides. Went to apple store and they said its because of dust in my case. What absolute nonsense. Titanium shouldn't scratch that easy, especially when phone is in my case/pocket. Would understand some sand etc. The phone has never been dropped. Is anyone else having the same issue?
