You can also use command strips for the back which is ten times easier. Just stick the command strip in the center of each one. These panels are only about 4 oz each.
Starting at center makes sure it’s level, walls are never square. I saw some people do the corner start and by the end there would be a gap. Im installing these my own tomorrow, seems easy enough but I’m worried about cutting them and not having them chip. Looks great on your wall good job
Always tiling from the center because you should never trust the level of the walls, ceiling, and floor. If you start from a corner to avoid the cutes, then you have to follow the wall or the ceiling, which are not always level and straight, so at the end you'll have not level/straight tiles and you'll save 1/4 of the cuts.
Looks great. As for the sound question. They will effect the sound waves, but not via absorption (that requires mass to convert sound waves to heat energy). These panels will diffuse the sound by bouncing it randomly instead of in a straight line. In that regards, they 'might' make a small difference in reducing the sound levels at the point of the listener (less energy directed towards the ears). But those sound waves are still bouncing around the room.
your set up is goals man. My pc build is on par to yours in specs haha, doing a similar feel with the wall and floating 32 inch 144hz display will send a pic to you once done in a week!
I think it looks soooooo awesome! But here is what I think. I’m only saying this because I have extreme OCD, but anyways- I think you should finish and do the other wall so you don’t see the lip of the intentions on the sides. Would look super cool
pagutierrez00 Hell yeah! Having an accent wall with these wall panels will make your setup look so much better. If you ever do it, let me know and would love to see it
Looks nice in the middle but the gaps around the edges look kind of bad. It would look better with some kind of trim or molding going around, IMO. It would be nice if the makers of the product offered something like that.
Even better: 1) Paint the wall white. 2) Get long, matte white wooden planks the size of the gap and mount them on the wall at a distance. 3) Fit a diffused LED strip behind that so that the light always falls nicely on the tiles.
I have similar panels, we mudded the lines and sanded them to make the lines dissappear then we shot texture over the whole wall, primed then painted. I used Ekena Millwork panel Spiral EnduraWall
When cutting plastic you should really turn your blade on the miter saw backwards. Sounds dump but the saw will cut plastic Azek trim MUCH BETTER with out chipping your material i beat you chipped a few cutting it . Just a FYI @3:03 I see you noticed you were taking chunks out LOL well like i said turn your blade backwards for plastic it's a skilled tradesmen trick I know because i'm a tradesmen
@@PCBattlestations Sorry bro I was probably in the field installing something or other. I recently been thinking of Modifying my old PC Desk so i've have been Looking idea's to gather. You're flipping every other panel 180° every time correct? And what do you do when you cut around outlets since these stick off the wall a few inches? I have the same ones and I'm getting ready to install them in a week
Hey man just an important doubt I wanted to stick these panels , I am worrield that liquid nails will damage my wall because I may change wall colour in 1-2 years , and is Gorilla heavy duty ok to use Waiting for your reply ❤️❤️
Use plywood on top of the wall and put the panels ok the plywood instead of directly to the drywall. I'm not a fan on putting the panels directly on the drywall.
The reason you start like that is to get the panels strait up and side, so if one of y side walls floor or roof is croocked, and you started att that side, it would all look bad.
This is a great video. Thanks for sharing. I'm just curious if you simply used a Mitre saw because that's all you had? I would think a table saw would be the easiest for clean/straight cuts.
What happens to the Liquid Nails if you decide you want to remove the panels down the road? Does it damage and leave strong residue/stains from the liquid nail adhesive paste on the wall?
put up a thin plywood wall first that you’d only have to install with a few screws at the studs. then liquid nail the panels to that. if you ever want to go back to the original wall, remove the entire thing and then just patch the screw holes
I used command strips to put them up and it works fine, 1 in each corner, middle, and 1 in the middle of the outer edge outline. You can also get a value pack of poster command strips from target for like $8 and you get 60 of them.
@@mongus9 this holds them strong enough? Love the idea of not using liquid nails. But I suppose liquid nails let's you slide it into position before drying.
Hi, Nice video. Is it better to apply the panels on a painted surface? I don't want to ruin the plaster if they need to be taken off at anystage and was wondering if paint woud adhere to the glue suffciently. I wish I had a miter saw lol
I got some of these panels over the weekend and added them to my computer wall. However, did you manage to seal those seams? Did you use a caulk for that? BTW, awesome videos and great channel :)
Nice! I did not seal the seams, just butted them up against each other. You could caulk them if you wanted but you don't really notice them that much if it dried butted up against each other and hopefully didnt spread apart.
I don’t understand why you need to start from the center of the wall? Any idea? It’s like you said if you start in the corner it’s half the cutting. I think if there was a pattern you needed to follow then you would need to start from the center but otherwise I have no clue why you would do it
I wonder if I could use loads of hot glue instead, I am planning of installing these on the ceiling and because PVC has a chemic reaction after some years and turn yellow, I would want to be able to remove them with a hairdryer in order to paint them in let's say 4-5 years.
OMG I just watched Kyle's video, searched for 3d wall panels, and I instantly recognised your setup in the thumbnail! Beautiful design man, do you have a link to your background?
how many packs did you buy to do that whole wall i have big wall like that but i have worked out in need 108 panels but by looks of them in your video they are massive how did you work out how many you needed ??
The back lighting from the monitor really brings that wallpaper to life.

if you want to make them look even better then paint with pure brilliant white matt paint

I wish they made this in penrose tesselations cause the grid pattern makes it look kinda eh
radnukespeoplesminds the company makes these in multiple different designs. Maybe you can find a version that fits your style more.
Did you paint yours to be more bright white? If you painted did you use paint, spray paint, did u paint brush the paint on or use a spray gun?

I used two sided foam tape. Doesn’t damage the wall permanently.
Which tape specifically? Where did you place the tape, along the outside of the panels? Doesn’t that raise the panels off the wall as well?
Now you should invest in some strip lights for your tv like govee immersion
They provide some sound diffusion.

Very simple and amazing video
*They probably collect dust very nicely*
Not too bad but they do collect some
That's cool. I kinda thought it looked good without the cut panels around the edges. Maybe just fill in the gaps with some paintable white caulk.
Even better: 1) Paint the wall white. 2) Get long, matte white wooden planks the size of the gap and mount them on the wall at a distance. 3) Fit a diffused LED strip behind that so that the light always falls nicely on the tiles.
How would you remove these without damaging the wall?
I love it! But how can I do it, that the cable of my Monitor isn't there? Becaudd I will mount my monitor on the wall
I just clicked on a random video(yours)And I have the same exact art 3d wall panels
Thanks bud very informative.
Liquid nail feels like it's mega overkill. Heck - I use that to glue boards to each other, and once it sets - they become one board.
What would you recommend that won't destroy the dry wall when it's time to remove these?
Thanks for the great video, my question is How do you hand pictures or wall decor to hang on wall after putting this panels? Whats the trick. Thanks
great video. I am now thinking about purchasing these panels
Tony Carcamo Do it! Do it!

what are those vents over the fans?
They are fan grills that I bought from V1 Tech but they dont make them any more unfortunately.
Gonna put this on my roof

It'd probably look better with like a wood border rather than the cut pieces since it doesn't look as clean without it flush against the corner.
