Christoph Waltz is so serious in almost every interview, but not in this one. Graham Norton is just a genius at picking out a person's weak spot and making them vulnerable towards a good laugh
I don't think he's that serious. But he knows who he is, and he's much better at playing the straight man and let's the comedians bounce jokes off him.
Christoph Waltz is one of the greatest actors of all time IMO, he has such an expressive face and his eloquence with languages is wonderful to listen to.
i love Graham Norton. He was the only person who could make Cristoph Waltz laughed or smile while he was going for his story-telling mode. Others like Fallon and Letterman kinda annoyed him
I agree with you that most of American interviews with Waltz aren't that good, but you should see the one with Stephen Colbert, that one is much better, although he is an American xd
I love Christoph Waltz. He's so the opposite of the evil characters he plays. You HATE him in movies and in real life he's just lovely. He's brilliant.
+treebeard I was looking at Andy Garcia today and same thing happened.. he doesn't look 59 either. And female actreses start with surgeries in their 30's because they age much quicker. Except Judi Dench who is 82!
+J -Zenberg i love the confusion on people's face when they're quiet unsure if he's joking or not...you can see that even on graham's face after christoph said (after th embarrassing am dam des clip) "i was the new year...couldn't you tell??!!" with a stern and indignant face.....graham seemed a bit unsure bit eventually started to grin :'DDD
Probably not. I mean, there's e.g. Heath Ledger... after shooting "Dancer in the Dark", Bjoerk said it was such a horrifying experience that she never wants to do another movie and I'm sure there are many more examples. Personally, I don't even like watching movies any more because I feel like there's enough drama in my own life. So... if my life depended on putting myself into the shoes of horrible/tragic characters regularly - I can see how that might not be for everyone long-term.
@@horseluver136 yes, I agree. Part of Christoph's arsenal is to crack very dry jokes which take a moment or two to fully register. For him it's a source of fun to see how long it takes for the listener to "get it", which is why he does the dead pan face so as not to let on when the punch line is coming.
+sultanabran1 Trust me, we have shit comedy here too. The main difference between comedy is based entirely on genre and tone. The only thing that makes a comedy "british" or "american" is simply accent, location and cultural references.
***** But the way in which people talk about "british comedy" and "american comedy" is almost as though they consist of something OTHER than the things I mentioned. When someone goes "I love british comedy - it's so much better than american comedy", they don't mean "I love comedies that have british actors in british locations making british cultural references - it's so much better than american actors in american locations making american cultural references". They normally mean in terms of style or sense of humour. Sense of humour has nothing to do with accent, cultural references or location - it has to do with comedic tone and structure. Both british comedies and american comedies have examples of every type of humour and yet you hear or read british people all over RUclips boasting about the "british sense of humour" as though it were a genetic thing/ability that is superior to americans or something. You know what I mean?
The difference between cristoph's interview here and in US talkshows are massive. You can see his dry humour is much more in tune and understood with british and european audiences!
no he doesn't also, jm is a self important narcissit and speaks like that to seem smart and interesting. christoph is literally nothing like that, and he's more than happy to joke and laugh, even at himself
Grim Reaper where do you get that I replied to something other than the op? he doesn't sound like malkovich. and what do you mean by 'excuse'? his english is good
He's absolutely beautiful and has been since he was an infant. I saw a picture of Christoph and his dad when Christoph was a baby. His dad's face was pointed down so it was difficult to really see what he looked like. But one thing is certain: Christoph got his long, thick eyelashes from dad.
If you want to see Waltz's proper interview persona, you have to watch him in an interview speaking German. He is very witty and has a lot interesting things say no matter what questions are thrown at him
I ve been watching interview for like 3 nights in a row 5h hours each night , I havent laughed as much as I did when Waltz spoke ! What a true comedic spirit he has
This is Graham's improv genius. Christoph throws out a terrible joke... and Graham immediately turns it into comedy GOLD. Take notes, Jimmy Fallon/James Corden.
Most of Craig's injuries hapened in Quantum of Solace the film that he had done all the stunts himself. He actually started using a double after that. In Skyfall, he had a double to do those jumping onto the train scenes.
About her story with the crossing extra... they filmed the opening scene (the one in the photograph) in Turkey. That’s how you cross the street in general.
I met Daniel Craig just after he finished Layer Cake. My Dad is friends with his family plus we used to live about 4 doors down from his Parents house. Him and my Dad got really drunk together playing pool once apparently. I was 10-12, I asked "how much did they pay you for it?" he laughed and jokingly said "Not enough!" Its weird seeing him as a superstar on TV now, haha. He seems way more human than the rest because of it.

@Here to comment/watch weird stuff What if.....he is? :O
This is so true, hes the best talk show host by a country mile. Fallon and kimmel dont even come close
I don't think he's that serious. But he knows who he is, and he's much better at playing the straight man and let's the comedians bounce jokes off him.
I have never seen him serious in an interview. He just has a dry humour
I think you're just misreading his dry humour, because in most interviews I've seen he is almost always cracking wise.
Christoph Waltz is one of the greatest actors of all time IMO, he has such an expressive face and his eloquence with languages is wonderful to listen to.
Brandon O'Sullivan go pats

VicenzoV he gets put into bad films but he is almost always the best part about those films

Always the same character. But a nice character at least.

Same thought.
This seemed fun.
American shows pretend to be funny which makes me wanna puke everytime i see Fallon and these kind of "entertainers".
I agree with you that most of American interviews with Waltz aren't that good, but you should see the one with Stephen Colbert, that one is much better, although he is an American xd
Letterman’s a punk
That’s cause Americans can’t match his class and wit
Here in the USA, the (late night) talk show hosts are mostly jerks and I won't even try and defend them.
Why is Christoph Waltz on the end of sofa, he is the most supreme of all
because darude sandstorm!!!!!!!

Loved him in *Django Unchained*
There's the other side in Alita if you haven't seen it. And Django ... Tarantino giving him an arc in reverse ... Breaking good
He hides it well.
I actually haven't seen Christoph Waltz smile and laugh as much as he does on here. Graham can honesty make anyone laugh or have fun.

Naomie's response to that made me scared, actually!!
