Right, that really threw me off. FIrst when the one guy said about the other host "you love to hate him" when it seemed to be about django... then later at about 2:30 when he described the character as mean and nasty, and it was the black dude of all people saying it lol.
My thought as well he is really uncomfortable being in that crowd. They have no clue who he is, they have only studied him on the internet. Or been given a paper to read.
You can tell that Christoph is kindly humoring these people and their ridiculous questions. I've seen him in other interviews with people who actually understand the movie/acting business and those are much better.

I love how Waltz knows exactly who he is which is humbling in and of itself. "I'm an actor". He doesn't try to pretend (no pun intented) to be anything greater than what he is like some other actors in Hollywood. He gives credit to the writers and says "I do what they tell me" which is insanely humble. So many actors think that they're these amazing and wonderful almost God like entities when all they do is what the writers tell them to do. It's refreshing to hear a celebrity know what they are and accept it.
I’m an actor. A perfect answer. Brilliant man. Even when he’s being himself, his accent still gives you hints of his roles so it’s a little spine chilling. Don’t you agree?
I’ve seen this man speaking German French English Italian And with this last show Korean If that itself isn’t awesome enough I don’t know hay else could
I first saw him in "Inglourious Basterds", and I found his acting performance so amazing that I watched each one of his movies ever since. He's such a great actor, but he also seems so genuine and authentic, being real and doing things because he loves it, fame being just a bonus.
it was so chilling watching him in roles other than the villains, e.g. in Alita battle angel he played some kind of a father figure. wish he would do more of that cuz he's such an outstanding actor. but somehow most of his roles are these 'perfidious malicious guy' types.
As an Austrian/German actor Hollywood loves to give him the bad guy image. 1945 forever although many other nations have tons of blood on their hands, too... - . They waste a myriad of -meanwhile- better possibilities.
Honestly, Christoph Waltz is a fairly good looking guy. Idk why he’s never been cast in a romcom or romance kind of thing. He’d probably be really good at it. He was hilarious on SNL.
Lmao a rom com ? He’s a little old for the standard rom com you think ? Leave those for Ashton Kutcher I think this man takes his craft a little more seriously than that
@@Whocares1987 You must not be around many people over the age of 40. There’s a ton of romance movies and romcoms that focus on older characters. Look at Love Actually, Something’s Gotta Give, Love Actually, etc.

Do you see legendary actors like Leo or Daniel Day Lewis do movies like that? No because I’m sure that sort of script doesn’t challenge or interest them. They are formulaic and forgettable and offer nothing new or unique. Im sure an actor of his caliber dream to work with the best of the best when it comes to directors, producers, and cinematographers and those people are not working on cheesy rom coms.
