When I finally got into a 359 Pete in the late 70's I was walking in tall cotton. If it weren't for all the BS today with the laws, ELB'S & such, I would come out of retirement & buy me a truck like this. Still partial to the ole A model Cats though. Always liked seeing that smoke blow out of them stacks when you changed gears. Ah the good ole days of truckin.

I'd blame the bean counters instead of the engineers. Waiting until the paint dries, then moving the fifth wheel and repainting costs time and money. Yes, there are incompetent and/or apathetic engineers, but generally, most engineers get their hands tied by accountants wanting the cost out of something which forces their bosses to order them to do something they don't like doing. What can they do? Quit? Then some other engineer will get the assignment, the situation won't change, and the first engineer will be unemployed.
Steve it's a really nice rig, if I'll ever have a chance to go to the U.S. (currently in Europe and I want to be a truck driver) I'd definitely get a 389 with the 78 inch, or a W900 with the 86 inch sleeper. The KW has more space, but the 389 looks damn more better, has a better dash layout, better seats, and those optional smoked headlights (you know with the LED daytime running lights) are so much better than the boring halogens on the KW. It would be a hard choice. But ohh dear this is the best I've seen so far.
Bitching truck, I love that two tone brown/cream look. If it were my truck I'd do a few less lights on the roof(gotta mount a 4 trumpet train horn up there) and change all the clear lens to orange. Go with those old school 4 round headlights on the front(I like that they are modern projector beam lights though). Curious as to why you don't order more stuff with that big stand up sleeper. No way I'd spec a 389 with a flat top sleeper, just not enough room.
You've got to get a dedicated camera for this. I suspect you're using your phone and it just doesn't cut it. The image rolls back and forth right in the first 15 seconds. Invest in a Sony FDR-AX53 for crisp 4K image-stabilized video. You won't be disappointed and neither will we. Thanks.
