    to people wanting to buy this, buy the tr-4 micro servos, they're metal gears on the inside and I use them for my differential locks and my high and low transmission and they never failed me yet! They are so much cheaper than traxxas's micro servo plus traxxas's servos are plastic gears so you will go through so many of them! So definitely would recommend the tr-4 micro servo! That rc car is very similar in mechanical parts, comparison to the e-revo 2.0 . That means it should be extremely durable when you hook it up with a brushless system. I reckon you Should put a 4s motor in there so it’s still controllable but also still quite as fast, and make sure it’s sensored so it can still crawl. But I’ll let you decide what you want to do with it.

  • @JG-oc9gc
    @JG-oc9gc 3 года назад +1

    You could say the same for the e REVO 2.0. Raise the suspension and boom summit competitor. Plus the e REVO has more power, clipless body mounting and in my opinion looks cooler. What are you thoughts Kev? Compare the Summit and E REVO 2.0?

    trust me, the only traxxas car thats durable out the box besides the xmaxx is the slash 2wd brushless, insanely durable and low on cost, you should defiantly consider buying it.

    Kev. Can you PLEASE Get a Green MAXX. The green one looks SO GOOD. I've seen them in person. The green Maxx is the best ever looking truck. AND I still REALLY want to see another Skatepark bash with the maxx. Thanks!!!

    awesome truck my mates got one, however his one is brushless but the only problem with it is the amount off batterys he has to take with him when we go crawling and he only runs it on 2s so he has enough to last the day!! lol he gos through 6 for every 1 i use in my dc1 lol its mental on 6s although the drive train dosnt like it.

    Love my mini summit! Made a couple vids of trail crawling, where it seems to work best. Fast crawling, trail exploring.

    @Kevin can you suggest me something better than this one with brushless motor and all these features like diff lock, etc for offroading and better speed?????????

    Deciding between Trx4 or the summit. I dont do any scale crawling or anything. I just bash and like the idea of a 2 speed trans and locking diffs. Thx.

    Kevin, I have a Summit and would like to upgrade to a brushless setup….just to hold me over until I can grab an 8S X-MAXX. What would you recommend for a motor and ESC? Just looking for some more top-end speed and crawling torque. Thanks!

    It's actually kind of lsd diff in other rc cars open diff plus more viscous oil so yeah it's a an open diff but you can call it lsd cause viscous oil gives it lsd action.
    Summit it such a great rc car suspension has so much articulation, high low gear, difflocks,lights has everything.

    It's a amazing bmachine. I been trailing in the " Picos de Europa" in Spain - Santander for hours. Goes everywhere, it's like a goat. The only bad thing for out the box, it's the plastic driveshaft. If you put lot of work in them, will gonna break. Having spare ones it's always good idea .
