How are you not finished yet? You had a date set for release in september of 2020? What's changed since that you still can't put it together 3 years later? Entire games are made in less time, and a modern ones at that, far more complex than what 25 year old engine has to offer. I wouldn't mind waiting for a project, but i don;t like being lied to. You had a promised date that you snug under the carpet and used the pandemic as an excuse. And now that the pandemic is no longer a viable topic to hide behind, you use vague terms like "oh guys, we work everyday on things that need to be worked on". What does that even mean? What happened to the promised release date 3 years ago? When you set a date for release that means you're in a state where you put finishing touches and playtesting... you don't delay for 3 years after the fact. So stop lying to the people who followed and suported you. Just say it straigh - Is this comming out this year or not? Is it coming out next year or not? Is it coming out this decade or not? Are you actually working on it, or the whole thing colapsed long time ago, and you just can't admit it. At least gives a new teaser, maybe a video with 30 minutes of gameplay... something to keep the faith in this project going. Because at this point you're playing a game with everyone's patience!
Kann es kaum erwarten diesen Klassiker wieder anzuspielen. Wie gerne hätte ich ein Gothic 1 & 2 Remake. Aber ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es es schwierig ist den Spirit dieses Klassikers in einer modernen Engine wiederzugeben. Stichwort Kampfsystem.
Schon erstaunlich, dass eine fremdsprachige Mod auch in Deutschland so viel Wirbel erzeugt. Das zeigt nur, wie beliebt Gothic ist. Und durch deine täglichen Gothicstreams bringts du ja jeden Tag mehr Leute auf den Geschmack.
Gothic 1 and 2 are probably one the biggest influence I ever had in my life as a gamer, I played them since 2003 and I still play both of them to this day (and I still manage to find something I didn't find in a previous playthrough), these games means so much for me that I'm almost moved by hearing how this project is going on, and I can't wait to see how it will turn out. Gothic to całe moje dzieciństwo. Pamiętam dostałem go na gwiazdkę, nie potrafiliśmy z bratem w niego grać, gra opierała sie poprostu na bieganiu po świecie, poszła w kąt. Z biegem czasu rozgryzliśmy sterowanie i potem już z górki. Każda zabawa podwórkowa opierała się na Gothic'u, tony wysiekanych mieczy z gałęzi, mikstury z babek i mleczy, porobione obozy. Magia! Do dzisiaj wracam z wielką nostalgią oplatające me serducho:p A urodzinowy Gothic 2 kuzyna w dniu premiery.. tak mało czasu, tak wiele do opowiedzenia:) Wiem, że pewnie nikogo to nie interesuje ale wybaczcie, musiałem się wypisać. Czas leci... dobre wspomnienia zostają 👊

Huge Gothic fan from New York, USA here! Gothic has been an absolute FAVORITE RPG ever since the day my dad brought it home and installed it on our computer. I've never found a friend in the United States that even heard of Gothic, let alone liked it. It sincerely fills my heart with joy to see so many dedicated people not only still having so much love for the game, but working on a prequel! This is honestly incredible. Never have i imagined something would be made for the love of this series. And to think people just do this because they love it. For free. I love you guys. I hope you can complete your project as intended. Honestly, only people like you can remind Piranha Bytes what made their original games so good. In regards to the project itself. I hope it includes the story of Lee. Where he used to serve the King as a General and how he was framed for a crime he did not commit. In my opinion, a plot around a story like this would be totally ok for me. It doesn't need arch demons or world ending dragons :)

Nice to see you're making progress. From what i've seen/ heard, i'll stick with the polish audio with subs, in Gothic 1 it was actually better than the original, your country has ridiculously good voice actors for some reason and the language really fits the setting of the game ;) love from Germany, keep it up, take your time
About the voice actors it's kinda weird in our case. Only in games it is at such high quality where as in TV shows... diversely. Gothic is definitely example of good performance, I heard some english players saying that dialogues sounded cheesy or dull and I, who never played any other version than polish, was like "EXCUSE ME???".
I bought my copy of Gothic 2 for the money I've earned by participating in the History Olympiad. Even 15 years later I think that that was one of the best 'investments' I ever made :))

Do tych ludzi co płaczą, że projekt "umarł" "Wkrótce zaprezentujemy Wam już finalną wizualnie wersje gry oraz poinformujemy o dacie premiery. Zmiany w świecie, którego powstawanie oglądaliście przez ostatnie lata na pewno będą zaskoczeniem 😉" To było miesiąc temu na facebook, a w komentarzu twórcyz 2tyg temu napisali, że film pojawi się lada chwila i to pewnie już z mocno konkretnymi informacjami i dostaniemy odpowiedzi na większość pytań. Dajmy w spokoju im popracować, nie muszą co chwilę dodawać filmu(bo to też jest sporo roboty, a można ten czas poświęcić na dalsze prace nad projektem). Myślę, że dodadzą film jak prawie wszystko będzie gotowe, a czuję, że jest tuż tuż. Ze względu na sytuację kryzysową na świecie największy problem będzie z dubbingiem, chyba, że dużo wcześniej było nagrywane.
Nawet nie wiem co Ci ludzie piszący takie bzdury mają w głowie... Aż dziwne że trzeba ludziom tłumaczyć, że modyfikacje robi się jak się "wróci z roboty", a nie w niej. Do tego każdy ma pewnie inne zainteresowanie, które w ciągu dnia zajmują mu czas. No i oczywiście rodzina, ktoś zachoruje lub inne zdarzenie losowe, które opóźni jego konkretną prace nad modem. Chyba że chcą być śmieszni hehe wiesz, napiszę że mod nie wyjdzie heheh jestem taki fifa rafa xDD ech.... No cóż, dużo jest mało inteligentnych ludzi na tej planecie. Taka walka z wiatrakami. Wiadomo ile powstawała Niemiecka Odyseja i Legend of ahssun, po 12 i 8 lat. Do tego Returning do aktualnej wersji, też dużo lat to zajęło, a gdzieś na horyzoncie kolejna część się szykuje. Każdy chce wszystko na teraz i za darmo. Gdzieś ktoś się kiedyś z kim kłócił w internetach, że kto robi najpierw dubbing... a jak sobie tak teraz pomyśle, to może wyszło to na plus, biorąc pod uwagę sytuacje na świecie :)
@@danii5630 Kicks their asses how? With budget and technology, that's how and that's about it! But Witcher will never have the heart, the soul and the atmosphere of the first two Gothic games. Witcher 3 is a fantastic, state of the art, RPG, but Gothic 1 & 2 are unique and special.
First time i hear about this project, as a fan of gothic from the first hour, i am happy that this is happening. i have a few questions of my own (if you ever do a second FAQ): -Are copyright problems to be expected? -Will the looting system be as it is in Gothic 1 and Gothic 2? -Will the controls be the same G1 or G2, or will they be modernized? -Which engine do you use?

This is honestly incredible. Never have i imagined something would be made for the love of this series. And to think people just do this because they love it. For free. I love you guys. I hope you can complete your project as intended. Honestly, only people like you can remind Piranha Bytes what made their original games so good.
In regards to the project itself. I hope it includes the story of Lee. Where he used to serve the King as a General and how he was framed for a crime he did not commit. In my opinion, a plot around a story like this would be totally ok for me. It doesn't need arch demons or world ending dragons :)

Nice to see you're making progress. From what i've seen/ heard, i'll stick with the polish audio with subs, in Gothic 1 it was actually better than the original, your country has ridiculously good voice actors for some reason and the language really fits the setting of the game ;) love from Germany, keep it up, take your time
About the voice actors it's kinda weird in our case. Only in games it is at such high quality where as in TV shows... diversely. Gothic is definitely example of good performance, I heard some english players saying that dialogues sounded cheesy or dull and I, who never played any other version than polish, was like "EXCUSE ME???".

I bought my copy of Gothic 2 for the money I've earned by participating in the History Olympiad. Even 15 years later I think that that was one of the best 'investments' I ever made :))

To było miesiąc temu na facebook, a w komentarzu twórcyz 2tyg temu napisali, że film pojawi się lada chwila i to pewnie już z mocno konkretnymi informacjami i dostaniemy odpowiedzi na większość pytań. Dajmy w spokoju im popracować, nie muszą co chwilę dodawać filmu(bo to też jest sporo roboty, a można ten czas poświęcić na dalsze prace nad projektem). Myślę, że dodadzą film jak prawie wszystko będzie gotowe, a czuję, że jest tuż tuż. Ze względu na sytuację kryzysową na świecie największy problem będzie z dubbingiem, chyba, że dużo wcześniej było nagrywane.
Nawet nie wiem co Ci ludzie piszący takie bzdury mają w głowie... Aż dziwne że trzeba ludziom tłumaczyć, że modyfikacje robi się jak się "wróci z roboty", a nie w niej. Do tego każdy ma pewnie inne zainteresowanie, które w ciągu dnia zajmują mu czas. No i oczywiście rodzina, ktoś zachoruje lub inne zdarzenie losowe, które opóźni jego konkretną prace nad modem.
Chyba że chcą być śmieszni hehe wiesz, napiszę że mod nie wyjdzie heheh jestem taki fifa rafa xDD ech.... No cóż, dużo jest mało inteligentnych ludzi na tej planecie. Taka walka z wiatrakami. Wiadomo ile powstawała Niemiecka Odyseja i Legend of ahssun, po 12 i 8 lat. Do tego Returning do aktualnej wersji, też dużo lat to zajęło, a gdzieś na horyzoncie kolejna część się szykuje. Każdy chce wszystko na teraz i za darmo.
Gdzieś ktoś się kiedyś z kim kłócił w internetach, że kto robi najpierw dubbing... a jak sobie tak teraz pomyśle, to może wyszło to na plus, biorąc pod uwagę sytuacje na świecie :)
I co zesraliscie się już czy dalej ich bronicie jak debile?

Don't let nostalgia ruin your view, The Witcher 3 kicks Gothic 1&2 asses, but they're still on the 2nd and 3rd place :)
@@danii5630 Kicks their asses how? With budget and technology, that's how and that's about it! But Witcher will never have the heart, the soul and the atmosphere of the first two Gothic games. Witcher 3 is a fantastic, state of the art, RPG, but Gothic 1 & 2 are unique and special.

First time i hear about this project, as a fan of gothic from the first hour, i am happy that this is happening. i have a few questions of my own (if you ever do a second FAQ):
-Are copyright problems to be expected?
-Will the looting system be as it is in Gothic 1 and Gothic 2?
-Will the controls be the same G1 or G2, or will they be modernized?
-Which engine do you use?

1) No, because this project is created in the same way as regular gaming mods - it requires the original Gothic II NoTR to run
2) Yes
3) Same like in G2
4) ZenGin 2.6 - original engine of Gothic II
