Thanks for this. That's interesting. Some people online were saying that the map would only be available on the motorcycle's display if the phone's display is also on, something which you clearly demonstrated isn't necessary here. 👍
hi mate i thing to keep in mind the y connect app if not using it put it to sleep because it stays on in background and its alot off battery when not in use i only turn it it on when riding my mt09
My understanding is there are two boot screens which display randomly. The original theory was one boot screen plays between specific hours and the other screen plays other hours. That isn't true though. There is not an option to set a specific boot screen.
No, it can only go to the next song or previous song of your current playlist. However, you could use voice commands if your setup supports it to change albums.
Still crazy to me that I 2024 bikes STILL don't have apple and Android auto/car play. The only bikes that have a pseudo version of that is Royal Enfield.
@@Izmolio1 yeah, I mean I have a fully loaded 2020 BMW F750GS and the functionality of the TFT is pretty similar to what you have here and I've only used it twice because having a phone mount and controlling music and everything else through voice commands with my headset is so much more intuitive than fumbling around with the TFT it's kind of a useless feature after the initial "awe" wears off. Just give us Android and apple car play/auto lol
watch, next years bike will have it. They will follow the apple meta by only releasing certain features to stay relevant. I didn’t buy the bike for this feature or reason. It’s pretty useless given i can do everything i need with calimoto, spotify and my sena.
Yeah I tried. Unfortunately, it doesn't operate correctly if you do so. One of these days I will attempt to find out what I can decline/restrict while keeping functionality.
Truth be told the entire setup is inefficient. I should be able to connect to the bike without an app that collects all my data and records my rides. Shame on Yamaha for that.

Thanks, you as well. Ride safe.
Cant find the App in the playstore. Only my ride and the garmin stuff
Very informative video! Thank you!

Thanks I forgot to mention that. I did notice my battery levels drop significantly if I didn't do that.
Did you change your start up screen? Mine only says Yamaha when I turn it on? It flashed on it one day haven’t been able to find a setting for it.

Can you select albums from the screen, like I can on my bmw.

Hey man do you know how to change the Display Language ?
I'll have to check.

That would be nice if they did. It's so much better in my opinion.

it ruins my entire day when a company requires complete access to location data, i will decline no matter the inconvenience.

lol. Typical android with all these idiotic steps. iOS connected in a few steps and you’re up and running.
