The idea is to file enough off so the new drive shaft fits on - so only do a little bit at a time. Ideally, you need to create a small flat spot so that the little grub screw can bite on.
@@NickCookOnTheNet ah right thankyou. I found that this helped. The metal driveshafts I bought obviously had different diameters at the hole ends. however that flat spot did help the grub screw bite and they seem to not slip anymore due to torque.
Could you do a tutorial on installing a 370 motor for the d90? I'm having trouble installing mine (the circuit board caught fire after I installed mine).
@@NickCookOnTheNet well I tried swapping my d90's stock 270 motor to a 370. The problem is that the wires weren't connected to the motor and couldn't tell which side was positive or negative
Thank you very much, can you please reply with a link to new metal driveshafts so I can buy
Think mine came from ebay or AliExpress
Thank you very much this sharing video friends👍
My pleasure. Just wanted to show other people as originally I had quite a bit of trouble replacing this!
Great useful video Nick. Well worth knowing. 😁
Hope it helps someone when they need it, I did!
does filing stop the metal driveshafts from slipping? and do I have to do it on both the front and back sides?

I've never changed the motor, I always presumed it would be a straight swap?

Question: what if the shaft is making clicking noises but doesn't show any signs of damage
What do i do?
If the shaft has stopped spinning, then it may have come loose at the end or slipped off the cogs
thanks for sharing, great tip my friend
Hope it helps!
The rear axle on mine got stripped so I just yanked it out by hand
I wish I was that lucky, I had to use quite some force!
Awesome video bro 😃👍
Thank you! Happy crawling!
Very nice 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😊
Hope it helps!

アップグレードいいですねぇ~!(^^)!
自分もメタルアップグレードを考えています。
The plastic ones break too easily, the metal ones will last forever
