I am a kid as well trying this might help the keyboard get recovered and be fixed i will totally try this with my own risk in a grmatic way for the keyboard to be worth it
Mine had the same problem. I went to the Computer Barn in Barre, VT and bought a used DELL *SK-8135* in perfect like new working order for .... $5. Refurbished ones sell for $50-$70 on Amazon... so if you don't have a small "Mom & Pop" computer store near you with cheap used components - which they also refurbish and usually guarantee - I fully understand why repairing it yourself would be the most frugal answer!
thanks for the idea! My only problem is it's corsair K95 RGB and it has 2 usb connectors, but I guess cutting will be the same? Maybe 8 wires I guess, but it's too annoying to use as it is. Maybe I'll video it!
my keyboard actually works and not works at specific angles, however i can tell whenever its working, due to the numpad lock key being blue while my keyboard is red [with led], the simple fix is either unplug a few times or just move it. the tutorial actually helped, thanks!
