Sir, you build a VERY FINE BOAT! I appreciate your efforts to make your videos somewhat bilingual. The visual images and subtitles are very helpful. I feel that boat building is a magical blend of tradition, innovation, skill and art. I can see that you put a great deal of methodical thought and care into your craft and art. I have also been afflicted with the love of canoes... and have been so since the days of my youth. Spending time on the water traveling through the wild parts of North America (where I am from) has had a lot to do with that. I do not have a skin on frame canoe yet. I intend to build two solo Canoes for open water. My wife and I will be using them on lakes and large rivers most of the time and must often contend with the wind. Thank you.
N.W. Ranger thanks a lot for this lovely comment - I have learned so much from other youtubers, then I make my own experiences and I like to share them. I'm glad if you're like the content and the way I do of my videos. Thanks again.
amazing video for novices like me. I just want to know how to place the last strip of the hull so that the water does not enter ... because the polyurethane is applied after placing the strip ,,,, thanks for all the canoe videos.
What a fantastic build and meticulous craftsmanship. Great job ! On question, since your speaking in another language (German, I think) and your in another country, why did you label the canoe in English ?
Spectacular! Your work appeals to my German gene pool. I'm in the process of lashing all my ribs on a 16' canoe build and will be moving on to covering with nylon fabric next. I noticed that in this video you show stapling the ballistic nylon, and in another later video you are using hot glue? Could you please give me the order of procedures you are currently using...like hanging in fabric, applying hot glue to gunnels, stitching fabric tight, ironing to gunnels, and then stapling to gunnels. Your videos have already helped me with several steps making the process much more efficient! Thanks again.
buttskid hisey the hot glue is only for prefixing the fabric after stiching. I melt the hot glue with the iron. ironing the hole fabric for shrinking is AFTER mounting the gunwales.
Hallo! Bitte sagen Sie mir, was Sie mit der Haut imprägniert werden? Und je mehr es möglich ist, zu ersetzen, wenn Sie plötzlich nicht mehr im Laden finden können? Vielen Dank.
Hi, I follow your videos a lot and I'm starting to build a canoe, inspired by this playlist of yours I would like to ask you two questions, if you can answer I would be very grateful. what kind of thread did you use to make the ties? can you show me a link where I can buy the ballistic nyalon sheet you used in this video? thank you, I hope I have not been intrusive with my questions. sorry for my bad English. a greeting and good work. The threads are made of 1mm polypropylene. You can also use braided fishing line. The nylon is available at: www.extremtextil.de I wish you good success by building your canoe!
my brother sorry again bothering you ne but I made what product is this that you spray before ironing? I sent a question to other people who make these canoes too and never answered me, they have no humility to help but thanks for the strength, and if you can answer in a translator and copy there you send rm Portuguese thanks
A fantastic job. Excellent attention to detail. Thank you for translating in your videos. I wish I could speak German! I am curious why you used laminated plywood for your stems instead of solid wood? Did you paint all the frame with an epoxy paint?
@@bluewondercanoe So this product you spread is not epox resin? which is ? because this coelam never heard tell me that epox resin is passing. and if you can rssponder and translate there in some handler for me to read in portuguese thank you
@@bluewondercanoe thank you very much and congratulations there for the work its spectacular as you have questions here I will bother you there kkk thank you
Beautiful canoe and very useful tips! Thanks. Just a question, considering ballistic nylon. Did you sealed with Coelan? Or did you find a cheaper product?

Loved watching a craftsman create cool stuff.
Thanks a lot !
I take back my words on a natural finish. With the white cloth the black and blue look spectacular.
Demonstration so effective overcame language barrier. A well crafted boat by an even better craftsman
Thanks for your kind words...
I enjoyed this series very much. That is a beautiful canoe.
Nachbauen? So viel Perfektion und handwerkliches Geschick - Respekt. Würde ich NIE hinbekommen.

Danke Meister. Zuschauer alle Videos von einem Kanu im gleichen Atemzug zu schaffen. Ausgezeichnete Arbeit!
Serhiy Lonko Dankeschön!
Brilliant work. I really like the method of hanging the Material and resting the frame in it. That looks so much easier.
Yes of Course: It´s quite easy - I saw this method with the Wood and canvas canoe builders...
Sehr schoen, super herstellungsteknik.

Delightful series. I have built a Michael Storer plywood Eureka canoe & yearn for a true lightweight skin on frame boat.
