Thank you for this awesome tribute to my all-time favorite boxer, and boyhood hero, The Great 'Irish' Jerry Quarry. Rest in Peace, Champ. You are truly loved and missed.
I knew him personally. What an inspiration but what a sad sad story towards the end of his life. That warrior put the meaning of the word hurt into a left hook. He's the one who showed me how to properly throw a left hook. The first time I was introduced to Jerry was inside my friends home as Jerry was renting a room. I made the mistake of letting Jerry t-off on my hand. He told me to hold my hand up so he could throw a left hook and me not knowing who he was at the time I listened but after he hit my hand, I learned really quickly who he was and then did a deep dive into the man Jerry Quarry. instantly I thought that my entire hand shattered into 100 pieces and after three days of constant ice packs I could use my hand once again. Thank God. We remained friends until his passing. What a beast
I remember meeting him when I worked at the Yorba Linda Country club in the mid 70s. He was sitting at the bar. He was a drinker. Very nice man. I only knew who was because of my dad. He was his favorite fighter at the time.
Jerry Quarry, one of the toughest fighters to ever strap on the leather!

Jerry's early passing reminds people how boxing is great entertainment but for boxers it is often a sad ending. Jerry was a champion for his fans.
What great combinations!
Had never heard of this guy but he is awesome
Ever watch boxing before?
Jerry fought hard, partied even harder
fantastic fighter
A great warrior who would be a champ if cruserweight existed then
What a stupid comment. He weighed more than the heavyweight champ.
RIP Jerry
quarry的摆拳真他妈棒

Shavers took enough leather to statr a saddle shop, and DON DumbY CAN ONLY TALK ABOUT THE PUNCHES JERRY GOT HIT WITH???!
IKR, I was wondering just what fight Dumphy was watching!
