I can beat that. Came in June 1998 for 2 weeks and 25 years later still here. Good work the DOST is doing, Philippines certainly needs more waste water and foul water treatment systems.

Dude, I'm an overseas Pinoy have worked in the PH with a foreign dev agency the biggest obstacle is the implementation. So many bureaucrats or officials like to see reports and papers for show only but have NO idea and heart to implement. Just look at all those plans from JICA. With the exception of one project I did in the PH, all the others have nothing to show. Because my services were free to them. :-(

I was a superintendent in a slaughterhouse in Canada and I did rebuild a water treatment plant with all controls and sensors. Fun project!! Yes, there are so many solutions. For our farm I also have to build some wastewater treatment cisterns, bio reactors, and natural filters. Water sources will be a bored 4" 30 feet long pipe by hand including a wind mill and / or a ram pump depending on the water quality. Salut for such videos. Protecting the land and oceans is doing GOD work and showing citizens the path to responsible Environmental protection. Cleaning up waste water prior to discharge is much more cost effective than just dumping into local water estuary.

We would like to request the Philippine Congress to make a strict investigation to the Safety Procedures and Waste Treatment Facilities of Various corporations in the Philippines such as Chemical Plants, Oil and Gas Depots, Oil and Gas Refineries, Manufacturing Plants and Mining Facilities. I am very sure there are many "Loop-Holes" in the Law that made many companies to take advantage to their profit but in the end, it destroyed the environment. I did not say that the Department of Environment and Natural Resources is not efficient but we know some influential people in the society wether rich or elites or oligarchs are controlling the corporations but we want the Strict Law to be Implemented. We wanted those perpetrators and those who abuse the environment put into court. We hope the Congress particularly the Minority Bloc (Makabayan Bloc) can help fix the law regarding the environment and ancestral (Ethnic-Tribal) domain. Please share my comment and post to others. Thank you very much.
