He plays flute out to his left! Flute is always played to the right! I thought the mouthpiece only worked one way ? Can anyone explain please.

Mick is left handed and will have had that instrument made for him with that in mind. The maker can cut a left handed embouchure. He used to play Grinter flutes if I remember correctly.

Flute is not always played to the right. Every 10th player is left-handed:)
