Now that is some real points made, thank you. Like you actually say that 700 USD is actually expensive (thank you Apple and Samsung for making us kinda forget that with your 1000 USD stuff) or that the cameras are good - not the superpro stuff (for that DSLR can't really be beaten), but in everyday life they are just versatile and do their thing. It's us the real folk using those things and sometimes I get annoyed by the lack of that "real perspective" with so many other reviewers. Subscribed.
Love my oneplus 7 pro. I really wished oneplus would have sent out their press kit to me also. Damn I wanted that. I write professionally about mobile tech and regret I didnt create a RUclips channel several years back so I would have possibly been sent that awesome kit. Man I bet that was a cool unboxing. Great vlog. Kashton
I take issue with the fact that people call it expensive without context. It's not cheap, but it has the features of phones that cost at least $300 more. Contextually it offers similar value to previous OnePlus devices. When the OnePlus One came out it was also about $300 cheaper than flagships, which were typically $600-700 at the time. I know as a percentage the price is relatively higher but it's still a tremendous value.
For daytime photos the 7 Pro is excellent, for night time get a Gcam mod ... just so much better at low light. For those who don´t know aspect ratios are limited, 20:9 and 4:3 is the only thing offered for the standard camera.
I feel like complaining about the Warp Charge being proprietary is a tad nitpicky. They include it in the package, right? And you can use any old USB-C charger when you don’t have the included charger with you. As an Apple iPhone user, I’d appreciate fast charging included in the box.
Also: And this is something I finally confirmed last night: The charging hub I normally use flat-out does not charge this phone. It's really weird. ... So I stand by what I said. If the "Warp Charge" nonsense means other normal chargers don't work - that's a bad thing.
That's weird. I have a bunch of chargers around the house, work, and in my car. I haven't had one not charge the phone. Are you sure your charging base is holding the phone correctly 😋?
Wireless charging as they have said time and time again is still slow trash. That would've been a waste of money. The OnePlus fans have been asking for years for a 1440p display and they gave it. If you've used dash charge you'd know wireless charge definitely isn't worth it
warp charge is great but you also have to use their cables too, which BIG TIME SUCKS! i got the car charger and wanted a coiled usb c to make it look clean, picked one up from amazon and warp charge doesnt work. you have to use their red cable. damn it!
@@Moderndad Sorry that you felt the need to respond with sarcasm. Using OnePlus 6T with Bose QC-35. Just wanted to help. Been a follower since early AC.
I don't get the knock on warp charge. So you think OnePlus should settle for an inferior charging solution just to conform to the most widespread standard? That doesn't make any sense. Thank God for companies that think outside the box and try to bring better things to their customers than what's already out there.
Bro just so you know, as it's a little known fact Oneplus don't actually talk about. Their phones support usb-C PD charging up to 15W as well as their own proprietary Dash/Warp charging. Not super powerful but better than nothing. For me, the best use case for that, that it gives me fast charging on my 18w PD 20000mah powerbank.
Ppl didnt mention that oneplus 7 pro goes up against 1000$ phone. So when you compare it to 1000 phone it super cheap. If you want a good 500ish phone get the oneplus 7.
So is the charge port USB C? So then at your friends house if they have a charger that works on the USB C port, you can't use it instead of the Warp just in that instance?
The only thing proprietary about it is the way it charges at 30W. It can still charge using other USB C charging methods. It's not like the lighting port on iPhones.
I have always been frustrated with physical sliders on phones ever since Apple started using them back in ancient times. Even with years of experience they still get bumped out of place accidentally. Your phone ringing on full volume in an incredibly important meeting is NOT COOL.
Finally! Your reviews are one of my favorites! Make more reviews please 😂
OK. I will. :p
The back of the phone is glass, not metal.
Then there's definitely not an excuse, is there.
@@Moderndad No lol ...but who needs it? (Not me - I don't use a night stand but I do use those round magnetic leave in USB C cables :p )
It also supports charging through USB Type-C Power Delivery using USB 3.1
There ya go.

It depends. All USB-C is not created equal. Which is ridiculous.

My one wish...one plus, save the cost of a curved glass screen and give flat glass. Use the savings and put in wireless charging.

@@851995STARGATE I agree with them but at this point they should give more people the option. The curved glass is a gorgeous annoyance.

There is something subtly funky about the audio on this video. Is it just me?
It's not just you. I jacked it up a little. WIll do better on the next one. :p
A screen protector is not on the T-Mobile variant.
Yeah, Im still using HTC U11. Im considering seriously getting the One Plus 7 Pro.
Diggin that nebula blue!

Good review! Kept hearing some static crackling from the microphone. Over modulation? Thanks!
Forgot to trim the chest hair, actually.
Try plugging your headphone in upside down.

It's exactly $169 more.
Another great video! Can we get a sample of your one plus ring sound? That would be great to set as a ringtone on any device hehe
Have the phone, it is great...BUT it doesn't handle wifi calling on AT&T.
The phone charges pretty quick using a number of my quick chargers from phones past.
Yeah, some work and some don't. I've got one that just doesn't charge it a bit and it's really nuts.
Can you at least get a fast charge using POwer Delivery or it slow charges with everything else?
It supports PD at 15W.
Cool. You need to review Oculus Quest standalone VR.
It’s not metal it’s all glass front and back. Which is puzzling why they didn’t add it.
Yep. Crazy how they can play with glass now, too. ... I totally didn't even think to look to see if that's what it was.

Yes, you can. You can charge at half the speed of Warp Charge with USB-C, which also happens to be 3x the speed of iPhones. 😂
Yes. And maybe.
Because fish are slippery!
anything proprietary is a MASSIVE turn off, unless its really ubiquitous and cheap
