I wish I can pick my guitar like that. Someday though, I will. And if Brian wouldn't mind, Stacy will be Tracey when I can finally play this song. Awesome song!
How can there be 9 thumbs down on this??!! Obviously the folks that decided to give the thumbs down are emotionally and musically bankrupt. Brian has a true story teller song written about him and he is just as great live as he is produced in the punted out recordings...forget him not
speaking of comparisons to Springsteen, much like when Bruce sang "throw that speedball by ya", in this song Brian sings "football top" - what guy has ever referred to a a jersey as a football top - or a fastball as a speedball? in otherwise amazing songs. Love both of their music, but those 2 lines drive me crazy.
@@JackCooksonMusic fair point, I suppose a Jersey guy may follow soccer - but if they call it a "football top" that's just one more reason to hate that sport.
@@JackCooksonMusic and lift is much more appropriate name for an elevator. the first time i heard the English slang for cigarettes was in Pulp's Common People - I totally misinterpreted it.

The only part of the "rock" version i didn't like at first was the screaming of STACEY. the song was so good, I fell in love with it anyway. This however, is elegant af.
One of the greatest song writer on this lonesome earth
Preach on brother
This earth is only as lonesome as you want it to be ✌️
You can see it in his eyes, he's reliving the moments he's singing about.
No he ain’t he’s regretting those sand shoes
@@stephenwalker850 Paulie Walnuts kindly lent him a pair
He always makes a completely new version of a song when he does it acoustic, and it always works. Amazing.
I wonder if this is how he wrote it, on acoustic, at this tempo.
Aaron Solomon definitely, I feel like most singer songwriter guys like Brian, start off with just a melody and an acoustic
Springsteen's School, mate!

100x better than the album version. obsesssssed w this!
The original is awesome as well. Both are great.
I don't agree, I love the energy of the original, but this is hauntingly beautiful in it's own way.
I always come back
This version is so fucking haunting I love the original but this is something else
He’s got that Townes Van Zandt sort of style, it’s beautiful
Awesome.
Amazing! 18k views though I mean what is going on in this world?
World's full of morons, they will keep listening to despacito and shit.
Beautiful earnest song. And I love forget me not flowers!Nice coffee by the foot 😊

Like Springsteen, he can take a recorded song and make a totally new version acoustically...great
✨💚✨
Probably the only song I'll ever cover. And my girl's name is Angel so it's gonna work nicely
Does anyone know the exact chord progression for the version?
What other song does the chorus remind me of
Can someone who's better at guitar than me give me the chords and picking pattern?

I have to get myself a denim jacket to play these songs horribly. Thank you Brian: dude can write, dude can play.

My version would be Kelly for a girl I'll never have
