If you look up Jimmy's audition tape for SNL, you'll see that impressions are the main reason he got cast :D
Jimmy got on SNL because of his impressions. He is outstanding with impressions.
He's got a lot of faults at a comedian but being an impressionist isn't usually one of them. He's very good at it, especially his Adam Sandler one. Watch the video where he went onto America's got talent and did it. Its brilliant.
