Thanks Chris for your latest update on Immigration! I would like to also know that there are a lot of applicants waiting since 2019-2020 for their Permanent Residency are unable to take any decisions and are at halt with their careers and life. Does immigrations has any plans to prioritize and process those applications sitting in que since long time. Also I have seen that newly lodged visas are being released instead of people waiting since 2019, we also know its case to case bases but why 2019- 2020 applications are overlooked. Is there any reason why immigration not following the sequence to release the older applications PR first before processing new applicants. In my case, I have lodged my visa under NSW State nomination subclass-190 as Web developer in 2019 and I have multiple assessment done as Software engineering and Analyst Programmer. I have being struggling to find jobs in Australia due to my visa condition despite having skills, my gap in industry is increasing and I have missed opportunities due to visa status(as recruiters think there is a lot of time and money involved to hire a candidates and hiring someone on Bridging visa A may lead to uncertainty) I have completed my Masters degree in Australia and looking forward to contribute to Australian economy and fill the skill shortage, but the delay in my visa is stopping me to land my foot in the door of IT industry. Also to keep myself upskilling, I have been doing certification and currently investing my time doing a Cloud Program Monday - Friday(9am -5pm) which is for three months(I don't get paid as it is a Student Trainee program) which will lead to employment but again after finishing this trainee program I may have difficulties finding Jobs due to my Visa status. Not sure what to do. I have sent a global feedback and uploaded few documents explaining my situation but where of no use. There are a lot of other people like me, in overseas and onshore waiting for their PR since long time but their visa are not being finalized. Never though I will be writing such a big comment, a tough came in my mind to share what I have been experiencing and others are going through waiting for their PR. Appreciate any help or advise from work visa lawyers.
Hi Mohammed, I understand what you are experiencing right now. I have received a lot of enquiries about the skilled visa backlog. Australia has got a lot of job opportunities for skilled workers and it has supported their Citizens, international students and many others during covid. But I think it just a matter of time for us to get our grants/invitation and things will be working smoothly for all.

This is one of the pieces in the consultation. Overseas Applicant (Invitation Only) • Remove the Tasmanian Skilled Occupation List and replace it with profiles detailing the skills and experience required by Tasmanian employers for a small number of targeted industries • Candidates whose Skillselect Expression of Interest meets those profiles to be invited to apply for nomination.

Hello Chris...thumbs up for a concise video. what does "TAS will now remove the occupation list for overseas applicants "mean...as in what are the implications.thanks
Hi Bolaji,
Tasmania is currently publishing a consultation paper on their new migration policy updates for the next program year. All public comments are welcome.
This is one of the pieces in the consultation.
Overseas Applicant (Invitation Only)
• Remove the Tasmanian Skilled Occupation List and replace it with profiles detailing the skills
and experience required by Tasmanian employers for a small number of targeted industries
• Candidates whose Skillselect Expression of Interest meets those profiles to be invited to apply
for nomination.

My name is Hafeez Ur Rehman. I want to apply Australian immigration visa ( offshore ) . My age is 28.I had done my Master in Professional accounting from perth, wester australia in 2019. Then i came back to pakistan for good and now till to date i am doing job in accounting field as well (2 years experience). I am married and wife had already done her bachelor degree in Business Administration.Kindly assist which visa subclass would be suitable for my case.
And lastly i want to live western Australia ( perth ) .
Hi Hafeez,
With your current experience, I recommend you should come back to Australia studying and finding a job in AUstralia for the best migration pathway. Otherwise, if you are waiting for offshore, you may need to gain more experience, English and EOI point test in order to grab a chance for 491 offshore.
