Hi Zahed, The Australian Federal Government is unlikely to change the s48 bar, because the bar is in Section 48 of the Migration Act and legislative change takes time. Many changes that are made are at the level of regulation or even policy, both of which are easier to change. The effect of s48 is that it prevents someone subject to the bar from lodging a visa in Australia, unless it is a very narrow selection of visas not subject to the bar, including protection, partner and medical treatments visas. The Covid 19 Pandemic has made the s48 bar more difficult to overcome, because traveling in and out of Australia is now very difficult. So traveling from Australia may result in the person being unable to return. There are sometimes actions you can take, such as doing all the preliminary steps for skilled visas, such as skills assessment and English testing, or for employer sponsorship, such as getting sporonsorships and nominations approved. However, I do recognise that those effected by the s48 bar are in some very difficult situations. I also found out through my higher management that the company that I work for now is based in Australia I have been offered a position in management and that position does allow for international transfer …So now is the time for me to start networking towards getting that nomination correct? I figured these letters of recommendation from my previous employers stating that I was the top of my industry and continue to be the top of my industry both in management and an actual hospitality labor to be beneficial any response would be greatly appreciated I miss Australia something fierce and I cannot wait to be able to say one day she is my home ❤️
