Love to see the younger generation putting in the hard work ❤💯 the quality of the work and the patience I see is top notch
👍👍👍
I wish you all the best in your endeavors 🤑
Thank you very much for the kind words!
I've done body work and paint off and on for 30 years . Wish I would have used a respiratory as much as you all. That girl is good. Women have more patience then men. The old man's 55 is coming along nice. Like the music. God bless y'all!
Thank you very much! I totally agree with women having more patience.
Have a blessed new year!
Wow 👍 very nice thank you for sharing your talent on RUclips she is bad ass 💯 I never thought I would see that kind of work again I thought it was a lost trade .You deserve to be on the cover of some magazine for woman of the year cause your work is amazing
Beautiful.....can't wait to see Old man's 55 get to that stage.
There are millions of body shops! But not many that put in the hard work like this! You guys do really nice work!
Definitely a labor of love sometimes 😂
you can see the depth of the clear even through the video! You guys do amazing work.
Thanks so much!
Your attention to detail is suburb! Keep up the great work and the videos coming!
You guys are so awesome great work keep up the great work my friends 👍
In my younger days i was a salesman for an Auto Body suppler and you are an incredibly talented young lady.
You all's work is amazing
Gotta love that black paint all buffed out.
Hats off to you guys!!!!
To do paint and body you gotta love it!!!!👍👍👍👍
She’s a jewel, and has a finesse that goes great with the finish work she does, bet she’s stronger than she looks too, that buffer isn’t light! Great work you guys, top of the line…
I say that all the time. Nikole is definitely stronger than she looks!
Sort of like a isometric workout all day long.
Great comment.
Hard manual labor, awesome job 😊
Looks like the car from Training Day !
You guys do really good work 👍🏽 I hope your channel blows up looks like you have a shop full of content 👍🏽
We always have lots of projects. We hope to stick with recording and uploading as frequent as possible!
Nice work
You guy do excellent work💯 i used cut and buff 48 ft LPG trailers, I'd start off with 1000 grit and work my way up to 5000 Grit before buffing with a wool pad in polar shine buffing compound, I could get aggressive because we use single stage Imron 5000 industrial automotive paint, with all that being said and done they only allowed me 24 hours to buff and cut a 48' Barrel on a LPG Trailer......
That’d definitely be tough on the shoulders!
I always use a trickle of running water to wash away the debris as I wet sand. For the same reason you start with 1500 instead of 1000. If you never put extra scratches in, you don't have to remove extra material to get them out. Too each their own, just a tip from an old man who's done more award winning paint jobs than I can count.
Definitely right about that, lots of ways to get to the same finished product. We’ve tried your way as well. We have hard well water at the shop, so using our water does more harm than good.
We use distilled gallons to fill our water bottles for wetsanding lol.
First think I noticed also, you can never use enough water during the wet sanding process.
I've been a painter sense the 70s I started painting in thr first body shop in 1975 in 1977 I was the youngest painter to ever paint in a chevy dealership I was 16 years old everything was laquare back then I did 1 acrylic enamel job in the 21/2 years I painted there then I went back to car craft body shop where I started we were a dupont pro shop we had the first spray bake paint booth in the state also the first car o liner frame machines in the 80s we got alot of paint and primers from dupont that were not on the market yet they had there first batch of euro primer that was about 35 tò 40 pounds a gallon it was so high solids you could fill 40 grit scratches in 2 coats you could put 2 coats over body work block it with 180 then sand it with 400 and paint it. It did not shrink. Then they reformulated it and it was only about half the solids and that's what they put on the market. And they did the same with clears you could do a custom job and stripe a car out with candy's or do flames and 3 coats block the clear with 600 grit then sand it with 1000 buff it and never feel a edge paint has came so far in the past 45 years there was such thing as 1500 or 2000 grit sand paper and they sure didn't make it for a DA and once base coat came out everyone wanted to be a painter. Ask around and see how many painters ever painted straight enamel I bet you won't run across 2 or who could paint it you had to know your stuff it went on real orange peele if you tried to lay it out the car would look like a water fall it would run off the car then acrylic enamel came out that was some of the best single stage paint there was my brother was one of the best single stage painters there was and dupont had the blackest black there was centari code 99a. Me and my brother did so many cars and trucks with that stuff people would say who is the guy at car craft that paints black so good....lol it was after it was polished we did back then what yall are doing now and Nicki my hat is off to you not alot of people can polish black and make it look right it's either full of swirl marks or muddy looking oh and remember this was all before 3m had the perfect it system they only had wool pads and a course compound yall really don't know how good yall got it compared to when I started ill be 64 in April and all the old timers I worked with are all gone thank yall for keeping the art alive it's a great trade and I would change my years in a shop for a collage degree. I love what yall are doing remember ill be 63 when I was younger they didn't have 3 or 400 T.V.channels there were 3 lol 4.6.and 8 lol have a happy new year your friend from Louisiana Rick 427

She does great work as you all do
i worked in the bodyshop world for years and for a few years at an auto auction detail shop as a buffer and we put out 180 to 250 cars per day anyways i just wanted to say after all of the cars that i have buffed out in my life i learned a ton of new things that i never thought about so thanks for showing me how you buff your cars
Looks good 💯. I only watched because I watch bills channel, but glad I found U 👌👌👌
Very talented group 👍
Niki is badass, I have done this many times and she has got it going on!!!
Tech tip? I've been doing body and paint pretty much my entire life. One tip, those areas like under the hood where a sander can't get to or to long to hand sand, I go to Harbor freight and buy those 6 packs of wire wheels that can be used in a drill. Those work killer at removing paint and primer in those hard to reach places, corners etc. Tech 2, when doing the cut buff I have a spray bottle with water in it. After the first pass of cut buff and the compound had been absorbed into the pad, I spray water onto the panel to activate the compound from the pad again. Doing this does cut down on material use and time spent. Works like a charm. Nice work there, everyone.
Ya'll are killing it!!!! Awesome!!
Great job,Hooking up with Old Mans Garage brings lots of views and followers for sure,Have a Happy New year and good for your buisness etc.Bills dad was impressed with your start on 55.
Can we see full videos on the old man’s 55? Would love to see all the work.
We will video as we progress on it. Haven’t done much other than take it apart and start to strip some paint
The only thing The average person sees in a paint job is the finished product. Only thing I can say is OH HELL YA!!!!!! PEACE ✌️
You definitely have the skill in that shop. You have a happy new year and a very profitable one.😊😊😊😊😊

For some reason RUclips won't let me give thumbs up. So this is for you guys. 👍👍
Y’all are super good
Glad to see talent again! Today’s work force is pitiful.
We’ve start out with 600 grit before but there was 5 nice coats of clear. Your end result is still awesome. Love the content
The old man sent me😊
Building a Training Day 1979 Monte Carlo
So after buffing it out do you use a product called liquid ebony made just for black to get swirl marks out. Back in the late seventies and eighties that's what we used. Nice work.
Liquid Ebony us just fir lacquer paint and isn't used on today's paint. I use to swear by liquid ebony to in the old days and ice been doing paint and bodywork for 52 years
Also look up Car Rep. They have a 2k Aerosol can epoxy that you can get a flexible wand attachment that you can get up into confined areas with epoxy
i can buff a car, but damn girl you got skills.
Keep up the good work I love it😅😅😅😅😅😅❤❤❤
Im surprized how little water is being used in the wet sanding process.
How many hours do you have in the wet sanding and all the polishing? Wish we could see it up close and in the sun....
Can not wait to see the 55 getting to that point!!!
Typically depends on the size of the vehicle. Anywhere from 40-80 hours if pretty average on a full wetsand and buff
Looking amazing. I am not in any way skilled in body work and restoration but have you seen the laser guns that clean metal? Idk but it might help where sand blasting won't.
I had a 78 monte 23 plus years ago.mime wasn't that nice though it was semi restored.
U guys need to do a SEMA build next year with OMG/SRC???
Are you not a fan of using a squeegee when clearing off a panel when wet sanding?
House of pearl how long do toi wait for paint to cure before your start wet sanding it
Do you ever flow coat
Or do you just polish everything ?
Do you sand your clear coat and then let let it breathe for a day or so before buffing ?
Yes we typically will wetsand by hand with 1,500 grit and then come back to finish it out the next day when doing a full car. We’ve done it both ways and don’t seen a discernible difference over time doing it either way though. Our process and material quality is the main factor in that. Most shrinkage comes from 2k primer and cheaper clearcoats in our experience.
How many coats of clear do you spray on the monty?
3 coats of PPG concept 2021
What RPM do you buff initially?
Instead of a mirror in their house, that girl probably has a deck lid hanging on the wall she cut and buffed 😅
Are you using 3m perfect it system
Nevermind
Watch out You Tube unsubscribed me.
