1971 Pontiac Ventura Paint Job OG Color
The 71 Ventura is coming to the final stages of the process. This one was a full body and paint restoration, the underside, engine bay and interior area was all done prior to it coming to us. So this was more of a straight forward strip to metal, body and paint. We also replaced both rear quarter panels and outer wheelhouses along with panel fitment and panel gap work front to back.
We’re now on the wetsand and buff stage.
We also got Bill’s 55 painted today and will upload the video before Christmas 🎅

Getting Bill’s new Malibu hood all paint matched! This was a great quality hood from Glasstek. Fit was awesome, as usual with this brand. We had some challenges to get this hood done. It’s never as easy as you’d think, but if you take your time and do your best then you’ll usually be happy with the results! Thank you all for the support as always. This was a fun one! The goal was not perfection, these cars were never made perfect and were made to race and crash. Getting the 55 in the booth for another round of high build corrosion resistant epoxy primer. We should also have the molding clips, retainers and all the seals on Friday. So next week, we can fit all the moldings to the body and drill all our holes, as well as a final dry fit of all the misc parts and pieces. Then we’ll be ready to take it apart to start blocking and painting inside and out of...

We’re sorry for the break in uploads! We’ve been absolutely swamped and not had the extra energy to edit. Here’s a longer one though, let us know what you think. Chipping away at the 55. Still have a ways to go, but getting closer to the fun part! Also working on the 71 Ventura, and a handful of other projects in the background.

Thank you Bob, Melling, and Bill for all the work you guys have done to get our 6.0 LS running and sounding great! The 55 is also back on the frame. We painted the underside in basecoat/clearcoat, and the full body in CRE-921 epoxy. Stay tuned!

We’re moving on the ‘55! All the metal work is coming to a conclusion. Not too much left on that side. After we finish stripping to metal, we’ll begin on epoxy work and get the underside finished and ready to go back on the frame. Mustang also left this week, and some progress on a few projects in the background we’ll be showing soon. Stay tuned and thank you for all the continued support!
