I definitely can relate to a most of those traits, if not all of them. It just took me awhile to realize that my own personal sense of agency, autonomy, assertiveness, and self-assurance were reasons enough for why some of my coworkers and peer groups would become passive-aggressive towards me. I still believe that it's more a matter of them just being jealous hearted and covetous of what other people possess, than it is a matter of them feeling intimidated our presence. Simply stated, they have either an underdeveloped or a one dimensional fixed mindset with a twisted sense of unearned entitlement, which leads to this self-perpetuating cycle of narcissistic abuse syndrome because they don't understand how to build up for themselves, and it's easier to tear down anyone else who tries. This intergenerational curse isn't even a new trend in human behavior because it's been documented every since recorded history. Biblical/ historical figures like Jesus Christ, the ancient philosopher, Socrates, Julius Ceasar, etc., all lost their lives in sake of these lost souls. My point is if anyone feels intimidated by my humble presence, then you need to re-evaluate your self. Find a better way to add value to your own circle of influence. Control what you can, and accept the things which is not yours to control.
This puts so much into perspective for me. I’ve always wondered why people who don’t even know me don’t like me or find me threatening without even having a conversation with me or getting to know me. It took me a long time to understand and realize that it’s not me but it’s them. Not conforming has cost me so much but since gaining a better understanding of myself and others I am at peace. For those that can relate. Stay true to you. For you are chosen. ❤❤❤❤
I love this comment and can relate. Thank you for not conforming and letting them beat you into submission, because boy do they try hard to! We need more people out here like you who stick to their truest self, not what other want them or expect them to be.

Authenticity is the most intimidating quality a person can have. I used to think truth and honesty are what human beings seek but the older I grow the stronger I feel that truth is what most people are afraid of and try to run away from.
You have just described me totally. One thing you forgot to mention is that people know this about me and because I’m honest, some stay away cause they don’t want to hear the truth.
This sums up my school experiences (and sometimes in the real world too) and why people were being mean for no reason, being jealous, and stabbing me in the back. Or why some people didn't want to give the friendship a chance, or why people disappeared during hard times. It's their insecurities and not my problem but I'm definitely aware of it. In recent years I had to cut out a toxic religion, people, places and things because I don't need that toxicity in my life. And I saw one quote that said if you keep dealing with negative people, that's what you will keep attracting. I'm on a different path and started to realize that a lot of it came from a place of jealousy, like hey I didn't go for my dreams so let me try to stop someone from going for theirs. The key is to be aware of negative entities and low energy people and not let them stop you. And there's nothing like running into these people with your successes to show them that what they did didn't stop you, it just elevated you. I'm really picky on who I let in my sanctuary nowadays and it helps that I have people on my same wavelength in my life.
I have been told I am intimidating for years. While the attitudes described here are in line with those I hold now, it was not always so. I am 50 now, I have grown to embody many of the traits spoken of in this video. But, it is important to note that even those with a strong & intimidating personality have their own insecurities. I used to say, ‘I’m not as smart as I sound.’ I don’t anymore but the sentiment rings true. The gift of confidence & persuasion of others does not translate to unshakable self confidence. If anything, we are great debaters, influencers of opinion, outcome engineers. A powerful aura, a magnetism, wisdom & philosophy is a character trait. It doesn’t mean I have no need of validation. It doesn’t mean I have a self satisfaction others lack. I am just like everyone else, I want to belong.
I feel like I am certainly intimidating for some, but I’m not delivering on half of the aspects mentioned in there…. Seriously, having watched that video a few years ago could have very well helped me being a better boss, especially in ways of setting my boundaries… and preventing myself from drowning in depression (for context : GM of a non profit at the height of the pandemic). Sometimes, life has a way to balance itself. With the help of my longtime partner (and mother of my child), I am now starting my very own micro-business… where I am, alternatively, the best or the worst boss to the detail oriented, anxious and last minute version of the worker that I am! It is a convoluted way to say that I’m reaching happiness.
I have almost all these traits but I fail because I am constantly bombarded with the problems of other people, which really gets me down and stressed. I dont ever put my problems onto others and no-one who complains about theirs to me would listen if I did. The problems they have, they don't want to hear the solution because its not what they want.
Usually intimidating brings on anger which is a turn off for communication. You know what I mean . If you are intelligent the least , you don't turn on words to cause anger. Sometimes it's better to say nothing and just listen.
I recognize several of these traits in me; I know I am smart and don't dumb down for others but again I do not disresect others. A retired college professor once asked me what I taught in college and how many degrees I had. I asked her how many she thought I had and she said probably four. I stuned her by saying I didn't have any. But one thing I have always possesed is fearlessness. If I am right and know it I don't back down. Like others here, I m have been told that I am intimidating.
It is good to know I am not the only one! This makes so much sense to me. I have to be very careful not to come across harsh and people do not like it when they sense you can see right through them....and I can.
I just listened to a preacher. He made an interesting statement re: honesty. "We, (he's mocking) the higher circle know things re: the Bible but we were instructed to not teach these things in church." He rebelled against that thought and apparently had to move on from such people. Honesty and truth are definitely disturbing to many people.
I do have an intimidating demeanor to others. I used to wonder what was I doing to intimidate but I learned over time that it’s just my Aura. I respect all unless there is no longer anything to be respected. I am okay with ppl misjudging me bcuz it keeps the wrong ppl far away! Stand for something or fall for Anything ppl
Someone brought to my attention that I have an intimidating personality and that they interpreted as bulling. I know I’m not a bully. But you just described me in this video.
My Goodness, you have described me perfectly, as I possess every trait. Very sensitive people cannot handle my honesty, and the Narcs try to conquer me, but end up fleeing. Most people are drawn to me, some in clingy ways so I have to set boundaries. I am bombarded with request for advice and to help or join groups because I am very dependable, and I have to keep my word. I have several siblings and they all depend on me or ask me for advice--I have 7 older siblings.
My strongest traits are not seeking validation and extremely selective on getting people into my space. These 2 makes it difficult to have close friends or friends at all. At this time I have no friends.
I didn’t see anyone in that video that looked like they would be intimidating. I check all the boxes a couple for a bit different reasons. I don’t give a shit if a make any new friends. The ones I have to include the people I work with tend to compare me to the crazy guy for the show “A Team”. 21 years in the Army can do that I guess. I just live free of stress. Not many people can respect people who are intimidating but it all depends on where you live. I got all the traits and people usually start with disliking me then not to many of them stick around. Also, some people do stick around and learn from me just to someday not see them anymore. They say or tell others to tell me my opinions are to strong or I’m to honest but to be real I don’t care to cater to people like that. I’ve been around the Country in 18 different states and seems like southern people or Republican states have no problems with who I am. I am just less than 5' tall with an average build. I've been told I'm intimidating more times than I can count. I don't purposely intimidate others. I guess it's just there.
All but 1… I’m not particularly goal oriented or driven. However once I start something I finish it. Trying to keep what I’m working on to two or three things at a time. However being a mother of three I can juggle with the best of them. I’ve often been told that I’m intimidating before you start talking to me. I’m honest with little to no modesty and will share my life, good and bad, with everyone, including strangers.
I’d like to think that my personality is equally reflected by my strengths and weaknesses without being intimidating. If by mistake I have intimidated someone? I hope that person would be able to let me know. Intimidation has never been my goal! I opt to be a confidence builder to all. Sadly, I have encountered some who have weak personalities who think less of themselves and their potentials than I do of them. Because of this I believe I have a strong non intimidating personality.
I have a strong personality but I’m not intimidating. I actually draw people to me. I wish I were more goal oriented. I have mental disorders that have held me back. But I am honest authentic and I tell people I’m like a cockroach nuclear holocaust it will be me and Cher. I’m a survivor despite it all. I guess I do have goals to be better. And I am a great speaker and storyteller. And I am fearless; I’ll do it even if I’m shaking in my shoes. I actually started out thinking maybe I’m not but maybe I am stronger than I think I am.
I ❤ all the list. Still unsure if these traits make an intimidating person. I'm soft and emphatic but all that been mention are present in me. I can be kind 'till you step the wrong side, you will not recognize me.
actually I like when people complain. Complaining is important too.. It means the person is bother by what is happening to them & that's very important.. I complain before too. I'm not the type to sit & act like I never complained about an issue before.
I've been fired from a job 3 times now because I'm intimidating.... What they are saying is I don't fit in with the current group of people...gossiping, smoking dope, and sleeping with everyone. I want to do my job, do it well and go home. Even men say they wanted to date me but I'm too intimidating. I said please explain! I do things myself and I don't need a man. I drive jeeps..4x4. Fix most of my own stuff. I do more stuff than most men. So they think they aren't needed or wanted. This was years ago. I'm now 63 and still no man. And am disabled and no do need help now. I could scream!
Never really did, but apparently, I do. Never even thought about it, until my daughter told me her 6'3" husband finds 5'2" me intimidating. And most of the 15 traits apply to me, so.
when you have a natural intimidating personality you don't know that you have it . some people try to fake it or they have it because life has beat them down. lol.
WOW, I have every single one of these!! I'm a little shaky on the "goal-oriented" one, though---I'm goal-oriented, but I'm the world's worst procrastinator!! Another thing that doesn't help people from being intimidated by me, is that I'm a woman who's 6'1", and likes stilettos---so, I'm screwed, just walking into a room!! LOL But, I don't care---if someone is intimidated by me, that's their problem!!
SOOO.... Basically, HEALTHY person? I've been told I'm intimidating. Secure Attachment style. I embrace my mistakes. 1000%. But as a woman, in my 40s, dating is hard. People who are NOT confident or codependent, don't understand me and think I don't need them or want them (that can be a pitfall with this). I'm deemed TOO stable, TOO forward and TOO healthy. I've done the work. I used to be anxious and fearful. Now I'm not.
I never realized I had an intimidating personality. You described me to the T. I THINK YOU FOR THAT I NEVER KNEW. BUT I HAVE ALL THE VALUES THAT YOU MENTIONED I’ve lived my life that way my whole life. And I’m proud of it. Thanks.❤
Good afternoon: I think sometimes I'm too honest cuz ppl literally get a lil nervous at what I'm about to say. Im like what just happened..?? I think I'm extra direct. I literally learn from my pity, mistakes & etc. But it takes a while..!! I am honest but definitely dont like I'm better than ppl. I literally hate when ppl do that. I do observe others but I just don't tell anybody. I play it like a game of chess.
I am everything in this video with the exception of when I am in love and forget who I am. That one exception destroys everything and I have to relearn my strong personality after a broken heart. 😄
Sorry you can’t have a strong personality when single and then become weak when in a relationship. Strong minded people are just strong minded with or without relationships. I suppose everyone wants to claim these traits but it’s only a few that possess it. Self awareness is key .
I know---I totally don't get that!! I was raised to do unto others, as I would want done unto me, and I have chosen to carry that value, into my adulthood. I would WANT someone to tell me, the truth, so that's what I tell other people! I always say "Don't ask me 'Does my butt look big, in this', cuz I WILL hurt your feelings"!!
Sure, it only makes complete sense your personality and life are determined by the time of year you were born. ALL people who are a Taurus are exactly the same.🙄🙄🙄

Yes. I have said words that people have taken the wrong way. Remain quite and leave the area.
I ❤ all the list. Still unsure if these traits make an intimidating person. I'm soft and emphatic but all that been mention are present in me. I can be kind 'till you step the wrong side, you will not recognize me.
This is something to be listened to. Audio only. Not filled with images of people pretending to be something they are not.
I look at everyone walking in a room bc i do a full evaluation for safety awareness.
Yes. I identify with all of these points. Heaven help me. 😂😂😂😂😂
actually I like when people complain. Complaining is important too.. It means the person is bother by what is happening to them & that's very important.. I complain before too. I'm not the type to sit & act like I never complained about an issue before.
I am Taurus, and I am a loner .and I love it .....Peace ✌
And most of the 15 traits apply to me, so.
when you have a natural intimidating personality you don't know that you have it . some people try to fake it or they have it because life has beat them down. lol.
Very strong
Love that about me❤
WOW, I have every single one of these!!
Excellent video & absolutely true 👏👏👍
Many many thanks
Now I'm not.
yap, that’s me 💃🏻
I have most of these traits and snakes and toxic people dislike me!
Ppl treat me like a rare species on earth but my intimidating spirit suits me...😅😊😂❤
I never realized I had an intimidating personality. You described me to the T. I THINK YOU FOR THAT I NEVER KNEW. BUT I HAVE ALL THE VALUES THAT YOU MENTIONED I’ve lived my life that way my whole life. And I’m proud of it. Thanks.❤
You're welcome
OMG...this is me....I wondered why others saw me this way. lol
I now know what I have been doing has a name. Thanks for the confirmation
All related to me yup I need no validation from no one but my God 🙏💯
Every one of these traits is a reflection of ME.
Perfect 15 points. Hooray🎉
I thought I had a problem, people hate hearing the truth.
A friend of mine said, "My arua I s so strong. When you walk in a room you suck all the Oxygen out of people.
Time stamp breakdown please?
I can relate to a lot of what was mentioned in this video.
I've always said someone else's opinion of me is not my business. And be true to yourself.
I believe l have all the 15 😊
There is another type of intimidating , and it is very much Narcissistic , NOT a good thing at all !
Either we are on opposite sides of the spectrum..one is fake and a counterfeit
Wow! That's great. Like it so much. I'm interested.
Glad you like it!
Accurate describe ❤❤❤of my personality
Wowww!!! Nailed it. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
I do not like people that lie or have negative energy just like my father, but he is worse
Thank you for the class!
You're very welcome!
sometimes you can't be honest when it makes people cry for 3 days in a row
I felt like you described me.thats me right there
Thank you......wow ... now I know who Ami...🙏🙏🙏

I use to be this way now I'm only half this way.
I have known my whole life
As a Taurus I'm direct frank honest this is my personality traits
Sure, it only makes complete sense your personality and life are determined by the time of year you were born. ALL people who are a Taurus are exactly the same.🙄🙄🙄
Good afternoon: Ummmm what does Taurus have to do with this 🤔🤔..??
@@dashiajames1882 Read the OP.
@@keithgraham9547Ikr I hate when people say stuff like this.
♌ sun and ♉ moon facts 💪
I had 14 of the traits.
15/15. I guess that explains it, then.
I am a lot more intimidating than I ever thought-at least according to this Video…
Infinite seeking of validation is a very personal Hell❤😂🎉😢😮😅
Ilove it... Thats me 💯
Yes 💯 correct 😊
I have an interesting and confusing combination of awkward and strong personality lol
I always thought I have a strong personality but not that it can be intimidating..Is that why some people shy away from me?
Thanks 💜
You're welcome 😊
