@@champking20 That's really not a fair statement at all. Plenty of coaches and trainers for world-class athletes have never been world class athletes themselves. Plenty more have never reached the level of the people they coached. The run was ugly, and there is nothing wrong with knowledgeable people talking whether they can perform or not. Performance is not a prerequisite for study and understanding.
Patrick Irvine just like saying his running style is run. Sport scientists didn’t invent running, who’s to say their information is correct or accurate? Everyone runs differently
@@champking20 fair point. But there actually is quite a bit of evidence and proof that the information we have on sprinting form is accurate. Training techniques are still debated. And we might very well find a better way to sprint that's entirely possible. But sprinting is a skill and it's not the same as running. It's the equivalent to something like boxing. Sure we can say everyone can fight, that's fair. But the skill and training of a boxer allows them to do things regularly and consciously that a normal person cant. This kid is naturally gifted, he is fast. But he is also wild. He might very well set records and achieve all his dreams with Unconventional form (usain bolt is a great example) but he will never maximize his potential for speed without cleaning up some things. Whether or not he cares about such things is on him though. But to say his form is ugly isnt an attack on him, it's an acknowledgement of the unconventionality of it. The fact that he won with such a wild setup makes the win even more impressive and shows just how much potential he actually has.
@@connorm4669 The 800 is worse I promise. It's double the distance, but the pace isn't too much different. When David Rudisha ran his 1:40.91 that's an average of 50.46 seconds per lap. That's only about 7 seconds slower for the pace, but since it's double the distance it makes it that much tougher. Anything sub 44 and you're an Olympian for the 400M, and anything below around 1:45 you'll do well in the 800.
@@deeztruckz2430 yea ik I just knew a guy who was in the Olympics and mentioned the 400 was worse but he said it was very close. I'm assuming for different people one is worse. Like for me the 400 is worse than the 800 but that's just because I can't run much further than 400 meters. Also 7 seconds is a lot of time per lap. The 400 is definitely way more of a sprint than the 800
Work his for on mid distance then tHen should work on that which then will help is confidence because he was clearly by farrrrr superior to everyone I don’t get why he look that stress I mean the others weren’t even close yet he ran like it was a photo finish world record Olympic 🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂
Frederick Weeks Jr. agreed , that’s lots of rep on small distance sprint, lots of long distance like 2k , 3k ...5k + and less actual 800m. Work on static form meaning not running but shadow running with times rep. He got great patience but he needs to understand to get the form right he need to do all those things and it will require tremendous patience and will power and mental strength because at first he won’t see the benefit he might actually run worst time but it’s not about that it’s about his muscular motor the rest is there ( power , cardio etc.. ) in my humble opinion
Although I totally respect the guy with artificial legs and admire him tremendously he should not be able to run with this group. It is a totally different motion and he has a definite advantage over the other runners ..... I guarantee you he would not even be in this race if he had both legs....... His leg turn rate has an advantage along with spring in motion forward ....... Again, he is a great man Im sure but its an advantage .......
Good time on some of the worst form I've ever seen......I thought he was looking around at first to see the positioning of his competition! Kinda of a 800m racer mentality, strange for the outdoor 400m.
That last 100m lactic acid kick in is the worse! Grind it out like a champ!!
Thank you for posting all these Track events. Truly appreciated by this Old Jamaican
That run was ugly, but HE persevered. NICE win young man
Angie B you run sub 45, then you can talk
TK TK did she say anything wrong

u don't know absolute pain until you've run a 400 m.
try an 800 some time
@@rsnowden0524 I have. That's just as terrible.

he could probably shave off like ~0.2 if he got that last 100m form down
Thanks for the content KB. You’re the real MVP
Man needs to stay relaxed and learn to just run his own race. I can tell he was waiting for everyone to make their move before he decides on his

TRUE
CONGRATULATIONS GAMECOCK!! WAY TO REPRESENT.
Props to guy the with no legs, way to represent Arkansas
He ran an amazing leg on the 4x400. You should check it out
inspiring. to all new comers, work hard. you can do it!
The winner really reminded me of Lee Evans in his running style.
Interesting.
Can you post triple and long jump?
You find out the truth about yourself on that last 100m of a 400.

The dude has no legs that's disadvantage enough.
Did Quincy y’all not qualify for the NCAA Champs???
gotta meet this kid i am in sc not far from the college
Do you only post SEC meets ?
Full results ?
He runs like he’s running from the cops
Where’s Michael Norman?🤔
🤙🏾
Great job !!! But I gotta admit that was one ugly finish !!!!
Zoom in on his face those last few strides would be sweet
だれでたんやっけ?これ
Matt Bolling ran a sub 45 seconds at his state final during the 4x400m relay
He's a 400m runner.
His form is ugly but he did it. LOL
👍🏽 good job..work on that form 🏃 and he can be a problem!!
Runs like Karonie James or how ever you spell the guy name
🇹🇹🇹🇹
Crazy how boling ran 44:74 in his last race in highschool
Facts
That's a relay split, though. I think his PB is 46.15....but he'll smash that next year at UGA....
neosapiens oh yeah for sure he has some serious potential
Matthew Boling can run that fast and he's a senior in high school.
Worst form ever?
Worst mechanics I’ve seen.... and still ran that fast...
When you realize that Matt bowling would have won that heat and he’s in high school 😱
That’s a relay split not out the blocks😂
I don’t like his form at all.
