@@adab4216 Been pondering on whether to buy one, but I’m not sure about the quality at all, bearing in mind the price! The spec is good, but if it doesn’t last then it is a waste of money. I saw one review where I said it was okay, but found it a bit irritating that they kept having to reset the tracking of the belt. If you decide to get one, let me know how you fair.
@@adab4216 No problem buddy and sorry I couldn’t be more help. One thing I would say and I should’ve mentioned it earlier, that it does come with a three year warranty. How will they honour that though is anybody’s guess, but I think that the first year you will get from the outlet that supplies it from you.
Made me chuckle to see you with another new purchase David! That's a really good length of cable on it though, a nice surprise and it makes a big difference.

Hello my friend, A good belt sander in your very nice middle tab. I use the same and another brand. He's doing very well. Best wishes. Thank you for the introduction and detailed information. See you.
Hi David great video and a nice tool But I think ? the red guard on the front is for use when the tool is upsidedown and can be used for curves But it's just a thought and remember stay safe and make 🍺🍺👍👍 sorry in side curves 👍👍
TBH I'm a bit pissed off with Lidl, I wished they hadn't gone done the 3x18 600w belt sander route when the 3x21 900w belt sander was the same price and a far better machine. Good review of a blah product, FYI I have this one and the lack of power is really evident.
Good review dave, I like the feature at the front. Could have done with that when I sanded my workshop walls. It would have allowed me to get right into the corners where walls meet ceiling. My belt sander couldn't reach those areas on a different note the dust extraction on my jellas sander is brilliant when attached to a vac & I've just used it to sand down my workshop walls. Used it for long periods and it performed brilliant
Great video David👍 I like all the features! I was looking at buying one a few weeks ago.. if they’re still in stock, I think you’ve helped make my mind up ! Thanks, Cheers rob
Had one and it broke easily, the filter you put on at the rear. I got a Bosch one yes costs more than is far superior and dust extraction is much better too. I have had several Parkside tools and wouldnt buy any more they easily break and I dont abuse tool and dont even use most that much
Hi David enjoyed your review. Wow 4 metres long electric cable, that is surprising. I like the way the front lifts up. It sounds nice when you are using it and does it feel balanced and not weighty to the drive side? Enjoyed watching. Tony
David, how are you finding the sander now, some months down the road? I am considering one at my local Lidl that now has the 900 W model for £35. Not bought cheap tools before as I have always been a bit of a tool snob, but I am sorely tempted by this unit.
To be honest Steve I have only used it a few times as I usually go straight to my orbital sanders. The only little gripe I have with this one is having to adjust the tracking quite often. I have had a few budget belt sanders before that never had this issue. This could be just an issue with this one but I don't mind enough to take it back.
@@InTheWorkshop Thanks for the quick response. I am torn between this unit and the Makita M9400 which is around £80 if you look around. Thing is, the Makita is a bit of a beast and almost too powerful for what I need. But it’s an absolute bargain for the price. It’s only has one speed though and I wonder if that is an issue. Do you change the speed on your unit, or do you just leave it full on?
Back in Lidl from 17-02-22 but now £35, I been thinking of getting one for metal only.
Yes, but the new model is actually 900w!
@@steves1460 do you recommend it? Please

Some nice features on that belt sander David. Dust collection seems to be a problem with them all, it's the nature of the beast I suppose.
Anyone else have their motor set on fire? Interesting what you said about the dust catcher.
Could you sand a floor with it..
Hi David, Missing your regular updates. All ok I hope. Robbie
Great explanation. Where can I find such a sandpaper belt!
The belt sanders are from Lidl and Ebay when they are available and you can find belts of the correct size on Ebay.
Hi there - how to order replacement paper? - O have some for belt sander but its far too big.
Ebay or Amazon is the place to find sanding belts 👍

Where do you put it all? do you have a secret storage place? 😂😂🤣🤣👍👍👍👍
Ha, I have got other sheds 😀👍
