I use makita mostly for tools I use regularly but for occasional use I have found that the ones made by einhall but with Parkside stickers on are reasonable quality for the price. I have bought parkside tools for 1 off use and still have them there ready for the next time if needed. I cannot understand why people buy parkside and try to compare them to makita, bosch, dewault etc. for the price of 1 bosch or makita you can buy 5 or 6 different tools to try, once you find out which tools you use most go buy a better quality one. For general DIY guy and jobs round the house they are perfectly good tools as long as you relate the performance to the price you payed. Good video though I can see you are not a welder, results not all the machines fault. 😆
Ferrex does compare to Makita, Makita are more refined and last longer. I have spent 6000 on Makita and nearly 1000 on Aldi tools, my last bargains were the two Batavia Step Benches, only £30 each, down from £130 each. DeWalt have slipped in quality.

I’ve got the battery grinder, and it’s pretty nice with the variable speed when using different types of sanding discs, though I doubt it’s for anything more then light home use in quality.
I have the grinder and it's been used for cutting steel, then cutting bricks.. Have 2 5ah batteries and it does job well... Ideal if on roof and odd bit of pointing (cutting out).... Very pleased so far....
I heard from a few guys that it's easily bricked. You can't work with it too long, because once you overheat it, waiting to cool it off won't do anything. It won't turn on again. One dude bricked three grinders this way. On the third time, he asked for a refund.
@@Miestwin Yeah I noticed that there is a very slight leak of oil from the gearbox if it gets pretty hot after running for a good while, but with how rarely and short periods I use mine it probably won’t be a problem. My vibration multi tool though almost fried when I overloaded it, the motor stalled and I could see visible sparking / light from the motor, fortunately it still worked after shutting it down quickly enough - though it smelled of burnt motor after.
@@Miestwin duh..... it's a fucking 30 quid grinder from a supermarket... not a professional tool. If you run it long enough to get it hot you are needing a pro tool. It's not hard to figure out the difference between a 12inch man eater and a couple of times a year battery tool.....
So the welding machine at first is set to Mig, but later you connected gas to switch to Tig operation? I know there is a gasless Parkside welder ( flux ) but I'm not sure which is which and what's the difference between MIG vs TIG.
Safety glasses, thick leather gloves (gauntlets) and avoid wearing any highly flammable clothes. Hot metal in your boots is no fun so either be mindful of where the slag (molten metal) is going or tuck your boots into your trousers
It's a welding process so you need a welding mask. Safety glasses won't block enough light. Self-darkening shield (also available from Lidl) is easiest.

I use this machine and it produces "pro" quality welds when operated by a competent welder. It's only a hobby machine in the sense that you probably wouldn't want to run this thing all day every day, like most of these cheaper tools.
problem with many of these cheaper tools for me has been the "after run" ... meaning when you release the button, I want the machine stop doing any motion almost imidiately.... this was most notable with my friends parkside reciprocating saw, which keeps "running" for several seconds after releasing the button. This is an annoyance and a safety issue.
Instead of buying once and use it a long time, Parkside now enables you to buy many times, to use each tool once. If you need power tool, go buy proper power tool. If you need it once, than in reality you don't need it, and are paying too much even for Parkside tools (just do it manually)

Unrelated to the equipment being tested. When mig welding with a bare wire you should push instead of pulling. You will get much better penetration.
