20 years ago i started to eat 6 cracked wallnuts every day ( 6 times a week) at lunch finishing with an apple too ..... here I am a 78 ...... never been hospitalized so far ( keep the finger crossed)....... all blood test result levels are ok (cholesterol and .glycemia too)... To eat wallnuts every days is a very good and healthy habit, than you can add and drink 2/3 espresso coffees ( high in antioxidants and booster of physical activity) )in the from 8 to noon...... and in the afternoon an herbal tea (infusion) of Ginger (strong ally of the stomach and digestion) and Turmeric (great purifying action with extraordinary antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties).. As I woke up in the morning I drink 2 glasses of spring water while the stomach i still empty. to clean the kidneys from the toxins ..A healthy way to start the day too ....

I've heard several things about almond that make me not eat them. My favorite are brazil, walnut, pecans, pistachios, & macadamia!!

My favorite is pistachios for sure. They r tops. I mean cashees r the dessert nut though..so good. Walnuts are great for u. One note..peanuts seem to hurt my stomach sometimes so I limit them. I only get plain peanuts btw. No crap added..just plain. Never had a Brazil nut. Macadamia nuts...hmm.. good in cookies...alone..ehh. See ya.

💕Dr Janie, should we eat these Nuts Raw ? Or roasted ? Should we Soak them overnight ? Please explain Thank you❤️

Raw, so as not to destroy the nutrients and soaked is best in order to get rid of enzyme inhibitors and oxalates before ingesting.

I am very allergic to the mold on every kind of nut and peanuts. I am very tired of the diets that push nuts. My doctor even told my husband that he had to quit eating nuts and make sure I don’t ride in a car where nuts are eaten.

Very sorry to hear of your nut allergy.I hope a doctor can find the root cause of this.Be careful out there.

Expecially peanuts , pastashios . Mold is never ever a good thing. Most well meaning natural doc. Donot know anything about mold . Actually moldS as there are 400 different kinds not good for us .

You have very legit reasons to be concerned. I love nuts and still consume a bit. Better off without, IMHO. Lectins, phytates, and possible molds as you say. Dr Janine has mostly good info and I'm biased, also being Canadian!

by pecans! Almonds should not be eaten unless it
    is blanched
