Exactly what I thought
Watching all these videos and I already do all the tips... Guess I just got to accept my bench is weak as fuck
Do some programming bro :)
well you might do all these things, but you possibly haven't implemented them correctly, especially leg drive, that's a hard one to do
i'm with ya on that lol
Technique is only part of the equation. Yeah, you could theoretically bring someone into the gym who's never lifted before and have them benching with perfect technique after a month of coaching. But that doesn't mean they'll just be benching 405 after a month. I really feel like sometimes people focus TOO much on just the technique aspect without accepting that a lot of the raw strength comes down to genetics and the amount of time you've spent training. Get on a good program, continue to get the technique down, and give it time. The numbers will come.
great video!
Where is this gym
awsome!
I think he caught a cramp in his lat. he was trying to work it out when dude said let’s see it again. 😂
benching is one of the most frustrating lifts because its very stubborn and the gains are much slower than say squats. Problem is a lot of people dont want to put in the required work and TIME that it really takes to be able to bench a weight that is above average for ur weight. Just like anythign else in life if you want to get good at something you need to do it more frequently and practice.
Hi guys! One thing I don't understand, regarding trying to "bend the bar", is what direction the weights on the bar would theoretically go. Would it be the way that the bar naturally bends when benching (weights going towards the floor) or would you try to bend the bar so that the weights on the bar would end up somewhere where your lower body would be?
Bending the bar is like you are trying to bend it by trying to make your palms face each other. Obviously you won't be able to do it since you are holding the bar, but you're imagining that it's bending when you do that so that everything becomes tightened
Damn, I've been lifting for years and honestly I think I've been doing the "bar bend" wrong all this time. Whenever someone says that, I envisioned bending it so that the weights touch the floor. Makes a lot more sense to try to make your palms face each other though. Learn something everyday, I guess.
LeBrons Hairline if you want someone to explain it better go watch Bradley Martyn's "3 KEY TIPS FOR A BETTER BENCH". He explains it at 16:30 or so
Thanks bro. That's honestly the best explanation of it I've ever seen on RUclips
Bit of an odd choice using a world record holder for a fairly textbook demo vid.
I agree with others, Larry does look irritated throughout. Given had the privilege of having a record holder for the demo, would have perhaps been best to let him take the vid to give his own take and ideas rather than being there as a 'Guinea pig' for the exercise; something that anyone off the street could have participated in and had the same result.
he does look annoyed probably cuz this is day 1 bench bullshit
Stafivon Norman that because he was benching with no weight
How to build strength.
Powa
Where does he land the bar at? Under his sternum? Abs?
Typically right under the sternum, but it's really an individual thing
most of the time the bar lands at the point that is the closets to the bar
It depends on how wide your grip is
Im on the bench as i watch this hopefully i wont die doing 315
just a reply to see if ur alive
TheDoorsJimMorrison8 I made it man barely
nice work
This man is out of breathe from this
If you're talking about Larry, that is actually a good sign of tightness. Even with an empty bar, if you keep really tight, you should feel a little tired and out of breath
Larry wheels or williams
Lalbiak Sanga wheels is a nickname for those big ass legs, but his offical legal last name is obv williams
Damn Larry looking small here...
larry looks natty
more like if you have this Bench in your Gym and a spotter
John should have did the video by himself Mr. juice head seem irritated or something
orlando landery Mr. Is a record holder, why do you feel the need to point out he uses gear
orlando landery shut up sensitive bitch
Good one, so original. Get over yourself, the guy would still double your lifts without gear lol
