I always SWORE I was gonna save my "morning bag" but I was TERRIBLE at this. It NEVER happened and I was invariably broke, there were no drugs, no cigarettes, nada, and there I was, trying to go back to sleep and act like it wasn't going to be EXACTLY like every other morning. I'm eternally grateful for my sobriety and that I can look back on it and laugh at myself, but it was anything but funny while I was going through it.

One of our biggest obstacles as addicts is "Addict thinking" which covered perfectly with "Ahh, I'll find some in the morning or whatever..."
The other one, and the bigger problem for me is "Junkie Math". I'll look at how many pills or bags I have, "Let's see, I've got nine 30's, four 10's and my guy is in the City until Tuesday. Let's see, I'm GONNA snorkle three 30's in a minute here...go to sleep with two of the 10's...carry the I'm screwed...GOT IT; I'll Cut the remaining 30's in HALF! Because the HALVES will somehow SEEM like the full 30 here in Mr. Junkie's Neighborhood."

Great video! A universal truth for all of us. I am, without fail, sick by morning, sometimes I'll awake at 5 already sick. I try, if I can't save a pill or whatever else, make sure that I have a Xanax or two. Xanax keeps nearly all withdrawal symptoms away, except for nausea, and you get Zofran for that and you're golden until you finish your shopping.

@shaunc5102 I could never go to work when I was sick. I couldn't even pretend to muster up a smile. I drop off FAST...I wake up with moderate w/d; rapid fire sneezing...energy already sapped. By 3pm I will be bed bound and nausea will begin signaling the severe vomiting to come that evening. I suppose it's the price for throwing 22 years into maw of dope. In a kind of recovery now...tapering. But now I'm having dope dreams every night where I'm in a pharmacy and the druggist says, "Here's your liquid Oxycodone, sir."
      Thank YOU, my good sir!
Or I make somebody for their stash and I'm tearing ass towards my ride before the dude can hit me with a slug.
Craving dreams are so realistic. I have a dream where I FIND a duffel bag in an airport toilet. Inside is a key of Coke and also a key of h.
I awake and am euphoric over my good fortune! I reach above, feeling along my headboard for the duffel bag. When it dawns on me it was a dream, I cried. Pathetic!

What kind of addicts are you guys, ive been addicted to smoking, drinking and dope starting at age 9 due to childhood sexual abuse, anytime ive been opiate sick, there is no freaking way I'm laying down let alone sleeping with bloody crazy legs, feet, arms, hands, and the high from mostly all opiates except morphine lasts around 4 hours before you have to start chasing your high, after the very first time, if you continue, you are no longer doing opiates to get high, your doing them to stay unsick. I'm not the only one that has these issues almost everyone I've talked to has the same feelings. Peace and much love sent from Ontario, Canada.

Methadone and buprenorphine have extremely long half lifes and are perfect for tapering. Unless you get locked up there is no excuse to go cold turkey.

    • @williamallen7836
      @williamallen7836 8 месяцев назад

@@boofingenthusiast The issue is, if methadone is being abused, there are only 2 to 3 rehab centers willing to treat methadone abuse at any given time. Due to the fact that methadone is so addictive & difficult to treat. Plus a person in a medically assisted treatment program will catch hell if they want to eventually taper off of methadone eventually, in most cases. Which leaves the person to figure it out on their own. A person's choice to eventually stop methadone treatment should be respected (everyone's desires & needs are different), but it doesn't always happen in practice. The goal when developing methadone was to create a pain killer that was stronger & less addictive then morphine. Plus could be synthesized internally in Germany, without foreign componets. They learned they could not the morphine precursors in WW1, and wanted to avoid this during the cease fire between ww1&2. Being developed in 1932, methadone failed at being stronger then morphine, and turned out to be more addictive. This is half of the reason I won't switch to methadone for chronic pain treatment (and the prolonged qt cycle issue). The other half of the reason is, there are still a lot of pain doctors & other doctors that still view it as an "addict's" drug. It just not woth the risk of getting a crapy doctor that refuses to keep up with their continuing education if I need to move to a different town.

Really bad part of fent and RCs like U4 is you can’t even make it 6-8 hours before getting sick. When I couldn’t find any dogfood I’d keep a rig or two, burner and bag of whatever fent/RC I had on my nightstand. Wake up, bang, sleep, repeat. Never had that problem with heroin though, luckily I got good stuff.

    • @boofingenthusiast

With U-47700 I’d have to redose like 4 times or more a night. That stuff is worse than fent. So caustic too. Collapsed veins and bloody noses within a day.
The war on drugs is a failure. If people could get pure, reliably dosed heroin these RCs and fentalogues wouldn’t be such an epidemic. Far less ODes would occur. Sad.

My worst symptoms were RLS, especially left leg, NO sleep, literally crawling to the bathroom, not having the strength to stand to urinate, peeing from my knees into the tub!!! Remember going for the script. Everything seemed to take forever. Waiting on Dr., having to act as normal as possible at the pharmacy, having to make chit chat all the while I am screaming inside...HURRY THE F**K UP!! Getting in the car and eating two or three percs. Thankfully, one day I had enough. Could not go out of town, etc. Got off of it with help and willpower and was able to stop. Thanks for the honesty.

I’ve been clean for over 10 years, but when I was using H, I had an unlimited amount of money I could spend, and my habit cost me about $3000 a week. The problem was that I could afford it. I had one dealer, and he would drive up to our house and bring it right to me once a week or whenever I called…Addiction can happen to people of all different walks of life… it has no bias. It’s not just something that happens to the poor or the homeless… I never had to worry about saving some for the morning… One times throughout my entire addiction that I ever had to go without it for financial reasons. Only times I’ve ever experienced being sick, were when I was trying to detox myself. Of course that never worked out because who wants to feel that way….

I also have a rule not to take methadone or buprenorphine or whatever the first half hour I'm awake. That is cause based on how I feel directly after waking up I would take more than I need; i would feel better or at least less bad anyways half an hour after waking up. wow thats interesting. I had kinda a different response than you. When I snorted brown it lasted 6-8 hrs, when I smoked it it only lasted 3-4 and when I shot it 4-5. Smoking seems to be the quickest route for it to get out of my body. Yea i would never take subs either until later in the day to make sure the precip withdrawals don't happen.

@@2nostromo brown is heroine, that's anyways what it's called in the Netherlands (bruin not brown), but Americans seem to understand it too. Because of the grey-brown colour of most heroine.

@@2nostromo really? but it's always Afghanistan that has the best. or around Afyon, a Turkish city from whence the old Dutch word amfioen and the word opium. It can get cold in winter overthere, but still. and the golden triangle: always hot right?

yh that's when I know I'm starting to rattle when keep needing a bloody pee every ten mins when trying to have a lye in😩 . probably would wait at least 18 hours really. I was on 60ml methadone but lost my script but don't want it back now as it's out my system. just trying to taper down my heroin use as much as possible and try the gabbapentin method to get through the last of the withdrawals. well that's the plan, easier said than done though 🥵🤢🤮🤧🤒😖🥴😴🤤🙂😁
