@@glennmagann8648 Thank you Glenn! I have 9 trip reports to edit and a further 4 already produced and awaiting post, I look forward for you to see them!
I don’t think FlyPelican is going to replace the aircraft anytime soon, but if they were to replace them I would guess that they would probably choose the ES-19 as the JS32s successor
My guess would probably be the Let L410-NG. It has the same pax capacity but has been modernised over the years and is still in active production and development. 1500km range would be enough to allow Pelican to expand to new markets too... perhaps running smaller FIFO mining or govt charters to remote communities.
Jetstream 32 is an awesome piece of equipment. I recently tried it on Sydney Mudgee route and I was deeply impressed by the open cockpit.
I agree! The Jetstream 32 is a fun aircraft. The open cockpit also terrified me…for certain reasons
The jetstream 32 flaps system dumps the flaps into a full dump position when reverse thrust is engaged
I wonder why its such a small aircraft for the Sydney to Newcastle route , I guess theres just not a huge demand on the route being a short distance .
Well the distance is probably the main reason - there are trains that operate between Newy and Sydney
Train is nearly quicker. Actually it should be a bullet train
Pretty sure the flaps briefly going to 90 degrees may be lift dump, only used on landings
My thoughts exactly! I suspected they were used as ground spoilers
They only have 5 Jetstream 32s. They do seat 19 Pax though. Sorry to correct you.
Don’t feel sorry for correcting me - it aids me in future videos
@@YoungAussieFlyer Your video was great by the way. good luck for your future trips :)

The aircraft is older then me…
I bet a few real life pelicans have flown this route😁
Haha More then likely XD
You mean a fleet of 5
Yes I am aware, it was a mistake I made back then - please check the description for more accurate information 🙂
