Disney Era is definitely the best period of the franchise. I wish it got more love from the corporate side. Very fun interview, you're all so humble. Also Ron Wasserman did the SPD theme too so that hype from Zordon Era is present!
Ms Purrott if your reading this, No one cares about gender or a woman leading a Ranger team, if the charicter is written well that's all that matters. I was proud when Hunter Deno and O.G. fan like me was made a Red Ranger and even more proud that we had 3 woman on 1 Ranger team, something I've wanted for YEARS. Hunter she did us proud!
The actress for Dekapink was proud of the bath scenes because she heard from the kid fans that they started to like taking bath thanks to the bath scenes. :) She's currently living in a small city called Kochi, selling bentos (lunch box) with her husband who was Dekabright (Omega ranger). Great to hear Aly is based in Vancouver. :D I've been to Vancouver because I have relatives there. It's a beautiful city.
There's more to Mika Kikuchi and Umeko (Dekapink) in that show than those bath scenes. When it comes to character spotlight episodes, I came away from my viewings of Dekaranger and Power Rangers SPD feeling that the SPD writers shortchanged Aly (and, to a lesser extent, Monica) when it came to exploring their characters. If Aly (or anyone else) were ever interested in watching episodes which spotlighted Dekapink, I'd recommend "Princess Training" (a "Prince and the Pauper" riff), "Requeim World" (a dramatic horror influenced episode that wouldn't pass muster with Saturday morning standards and practices, but is a darned good episode), and "Propose Panic" (which is basically a "Sailor Moon" plot transplanted into a Super-Sentai milieu). Once you get past "Japanese fursuit Doggie" and Dekared's overenthusiastic acting choices (he tones his performance down considerably when he voices Jack in the Japanese dub of PR: SPD), it's a fun show.
@@dngillikin Ryuji did mention he had to work on his tones when he voiced Jack because Jack and Ban are different characters. It's still awesome that sentai actors get to voice all of their PR counterparts. Prior to SPD, I heard TJ(2nd Turbo Red/In space Blue)'s Japanese dub was voiced by red ranger from Carranger, and he continued to voice TJ when IN Space was dubbed in Japan.
Listening to these actors talk about how many hours they were filming 10-16 hours that is alot wow these actors worked hard that sounds tough and it sounds exhausting as well thank you for making our childhood great with Power Rangers and Rest in paradise Jason aka Tommy we miss you 🙏🏽❤️
THIS IS A TREASURE!!!! I've been strongly wanting to see Aly return for so so long, and SPD was the season of my HS graduation year. I grew up watching Power Rangers from the start at 7 years old. I never stopped, and it was such a big part of my life. I started Super Sentai a few years later with Gingaman being my first, so I cry at the theme song due to strong nostalgia, but SPD especially Aly is someone I've wanted to see at a con and return to the show.
Loved this episode. My 2 favorites are Mighty Morphin and SPD. The SPD cast has always had a special place in my heart, especially Aly. Love that she’s doing so well, and looks just as happy and radiant. Thank you to all of you for taking the time to bring us this light.

Amy Jo Johnson did live readings of the first 3 issues of Mighty morphin power rangers the return with David RUclips where she reprise her role as Kimberly and the song she sang in the season 2 episode sound of gituardo was used in the ending of MMPR once and always as a tribute to they trang and Jason David frank she also cameoed in the 2017 power rangers movie with Jason David frank

another issue with disney era for power rangers with special police department series not having the omega ranger human actor and backstory is very bad for the series in general just a white ball floating around
I had no idea Syd had a tooth issue. But I had no idea JDF’s (lord rest him) ZEO/Nelly band aid was caused by a mosh pit. All that time, I thought that facial bandage was caused by either a fight choreography accident or a result from the fabled rivalry. Thanx for that clear-up.
Emma Lahana doesn't hate PR fans in general though. Her reseon for distancing herself from PR was fans started to only call her Kira, instead of her real name.
