Very cool build. Always good to keep as much as possible of the donor truck together to simplify things in the long run. Love videos like this where you explain what and why you're doing. Be safe and stay well.
Looking good , I have something to say, way back years ago my friend got a job in a sheetmetal shop. I didn’t see him for a lot of years after. But when I did he was rolling around with an oxygen bottle. He told me working those years in the sheetmetal shop with no mask screwed his lungs up . Then some time went by and his brother told me he passed away because of the damage the grinding and cutting and everything did was irreparable.
ALWAYS wear a quality mask while grinding... its horrendous that shit flying around in the air while grinding... and of course eye protection... then thoroughly ventilate the area during and after before working on next thing. Always. Be efficient and this will take no extra time. Every dude is a tough-guy who can breath in poisons and metal in the air until they get cancer...
Yup your right about wearing the face mask or respirators to protect against all the dust and chemicals that are in the air my brother was in the biz painting and body work at the end wen he retired he had a lung infection by yrs n yrs working on vehicles they gave him a yr to live. so they gave him a set of nu lungs glad my brother is still here with us .god bless u Montana custom😮
Why not use a simple tiny quick jack to temp hold your pieces... weld a flat piece of mental on top... maybe a plank of wood on top of that... simple, quick piece lifter/holder. I donno...
