I modified mine to about 650hp, when I run Laguna I put on Hoosier R7's, helps to stop it very quick. That power, even stock makes it feel like the hand of god is pushing you up the grapevine nearly at idle.
Just on this video alone, you have garnered a +1 on the subscribe button lol Thanks for belting these out. My vote has always been on the Audi.. It's an all-whether, all-arounder.. Can't beat that.
they always go against mercedes benz in some of these test comparisons.. ive noticed. but u wont see that outdated Audi on the road. like you would the e55 😛
I’ve had the Merc. Can’t put all that power down, but extremely reliable if you can avoid heat soak and the ensuing kompressor shutdown. So I switched to the RS6. Always puts a smile on my face, except when it’s in the shop every other month.
Also do you know if MotorWeek ever covered the D2 S8. There is a video on here of the A8 uploaded by someone else but I’d be interested to see their impressions of the sporting model.
Indeed they did and it will be my next upload... I Have to wait though because apparently I've posted too much copyrighted information... I've been given a 24 hour penalty... WTF
@@Ferraridude13I get strikes on pretty much all of the MotorVision episodes (But they're so good. Can't help myself)... Oddly enough MW doesn't care ..
I have a 2006 E320 CDI and it's really the one. I mean the E55 got 14mpg city 20 highway, I get 28 city, 40 high way. With the diesel you can afford to casually whip out the big block power without paying for it in fuel consumption. I mean fuel consumption goes down to like 35mpg cruising at 120mph. And it last so much longer, I see BMW M3 from the time but there's motors are worn out at like 200,000miles, with the diesel milage has no affect on it's performance. Really 4 valve per cylinder, turbocharged inline 6 is a better motor then a V8, It's pick up the power so low in such a usuable everyday manner, and when you;re hauling ass when you let off the gas the motor sustains is maximum performance and maximizes fuel economy so like I said out on the open road, although 130mph is it's top speed, it's ability to hold that speed at 4200rpm with high fuel economy makes it much faster. Also the ability to nail the gas and pass people up hills without losing fuel economy is a major advantage in performance.
In the end the Mercedes E55 was a more reliable car. I would say it's faster too, as impressive as the audi handling was, in a high speed corner the mercedes with front engine rear wheel drive has an advantage.
I like the E55 because it pulls like a truck with low revs, almost 520 lb ft of torque, more than most modern day sports cars .
Torque wins races 💪
That Kompressor is mooooooovin! Definitely feels like you're strapped to an intercontinental ballistic missile during a first gear pull from zero.

2 legends… cars will never again be this unique and beautifully designed. Just timeless.
I couldn’t agree more!

Thanks for sharing. Always looking for E55K content. I've got an 04 Estate ❤️
Wow very rare! Only ever seen one for sale in australia online

Uugh plenty of rs6 in N America for sure
Less than 800 RS6 were ever brought to the U.S.
I’d say that exclusivity is infinitely better than the E55’s…
@@Divine_Serpent_Gehnever. How many of the 900 are left and how sought after are they? Nobody dying to get one
The rs6 is nice but u are correct, there are 5 e55s for every rs6 😂
I've always loved the amgs , now I have an 03 s55 of my own. It's up in age but my favorite out of my small fleet!

U need better tires, with TC on it hooks very well.
Audi, of course
The best or nothing ❤️ Mercedes

RCR's lol you have been posting a lot of vids. Did you get a strike on the channel?

AMG 💪🏻
" these mortgages are never gonna crash "
Proud owner of both iconic machines.
the cl55 will always be the sexiest and had 493 hp
CL55 weighs more, less aerodynamic and a slower performance.
Do you have any S55 AMG videos from Motorvision, Speedvision or DW TV? Or any Alpina B7 vids too?
I'll check

These presenters are so nonchalant lol, it’s like they’re talking about plumbing infrastructure. MotorWeek is really so much better
RS6 is a dream🙂
They really fail to mention how much better the transmission in the Mercedes is.
Mercedes Benz every day of week

New i would have bought the aldi, used id buy the Benz for reliability
Too bad the Mercedes had better build quality than the Audi and ended up lasting a lot longer...
