Could you please do a care video on homalomena? Mine was struggling so I’ve went hydro. Still alive but I really want to know how to take care of the 2 I have. One seems to like to dry out more the other (cameo) just won’t stop getting crispy leaves. Info on this genus is all over the place. One RUclipsr says she waters hers every day 😮
Aglaonemas are very beautiful and easy to grow. I’ve asked my local plant store to order me a Aglaonema chocolate, it has that calathea vibe without all the drama!
@@EverythingPlants It was either on a Dieffenbachia Reflector or Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor video. You're one of the few RUclipsrs that talk about them. It's hard to find plant care and propagation on either of them. Of the videos I can find, they are in climates that are nothing like the Pacific Northwest in the states lol
@@EverythingPlants In one of your previous videos I asked what that almost copper looking plant was in the lower right of the screen. You told me Alocasia Cuprea. IN LOVE with this plant. All out of my price range until today I got an email from Canopy Plant and it is one of their restocks!!! $16.99 Scooped it up! Thanks for answering my question, it enabled me to purchase that awesome plant! Now I wait for it's arrival. Care? Same as any alocasia?
@@EverythingPlants Thanks! I am so excited, and I do have other alocasias (and a few Colocasia)! I have 2 silver dragons, 2 dragon scale, a Polly and a black velvet. My first silver dragon arrived DOA during the winter (sopping wet soil) and I harvested 4 corms (only 2 didn't turn to mush) which I put in perlite in a plastic bag and I now have 2 brand new baby leaves, almost 3 inches long! I cannot wait to see this Cuprea, I hope it is as magnificent in coloration as yours!
Thank you kindly, for this video. Totes interesting. I like the innovative humidity dome, using available items from the recycling bin; really seems quite perfect. For us enthusiastic novices, can you give us some hard and fast rules about soil types and repotting etiquette. For me that would be quite valuable. You da man! 🇨🇦 😊 thanks.
Great theme! ....Love aglaonemas...I collect them....love the tiniki ficus too! And the ruby....love your channel and thanks for another nice video.....season change is here....it will be a rough couple of months :)...my plants still keep me sane! Ha ha ha...look forward to your next video as always....love from MN
Just beautiful!! I love your aglaonemas!! I have one stick growing one leaf stalk now, but it's taking it's sweet time. This is the slowest growing plant I have. And it is closest to a grow light.
I agree that your one aglaonema is a Juliette--it looks just like mine. I bought it specifically for the three different colors of green on it--so pretty! My latest favorite is an algaonema Calypso with broader leaves than most and a cool pattern that runs through the stem as well.
Great Jeff, I have a couple of the Ficus you showed last. I’ve gone and ordered a humidifier as seems to be an essential item for successfully growing house plants in a none humid climate such as ours in Central West NSW Australia. Once again an interesting video Jeff. Have a good weekend when it gets around to it over there 🌵💐😃
Love the camo colors. I have a Tineke and a Ruby. Also, to update you on my air layering of my Burgundy. . . The leaves were starting to droop so I checked it for roots. It had a few small ones so I cut it and potted it. I think I had too many leaves on the cutting without enough roots to support them so I sadly cut the top half off a couple days after potting. Now it has only 4 leaves to support so I hope it lives. When I do it next time I’m not using sphagnum moss. To hard to tell the difference between the moss and the roots. Thanks for all your info. 💚🌿🪴🌱💚
I just got my first aglaonema pictum tricolor! Tiny little 3 leaf plant with one of the leaves feeling a little crisp after the shipment. Going to use your humidity chamber hack to try to rehab it!
Best plants for Windowless room with lights? Lol 🤣 Yes, I'm trying to figure out who to put where for winter 🤷🏼♀️ gotta love a good Canadian basements lack of windows 🥺 I think my most camo plant would be my global green pothos. My alocasia Zebrina if I were trying to hide it in brush... Umm my alocasia pink Dragon if I'm hiding it with flamingos? 🤣
@ladylove34 Well, the selby needed a self watering pot, and I took too long to figure it out. Very thirsty. I will try again one day. Camouflage is beautiful!
I don't like to spend a lot of money on plants because I'm afraid I will kill them. I've got several plants. I moved in with my mom and she doesn't have a lot of room because she has a lot of stuff. Can you give me any suggestions for finding homes for my plants?
Those newer leaves on your Selby look identical to my Camo leaves.
Love watching your video they're very amazing interested and very nice plans thank you for sharing and you have a blessed day
Thanks Jillian!

Loved all of these plants! Such a fun video to watch. Many thanks for sharing your tips. As always, they are very helpful. 👌🪴🥰
Thanks Peggy!
Wow, so cool you actually made this video after my suggestion and so quickly! I enjoyed it, thank you!
Thanks Dionne! It was a fantastic idea....I couldn't find where you posted it as I wanted to give you credit.

Colocasias love light and water! Can even grow in standing water. Upsize that pot too and it will flourish
I will do that and thanks!
I really enjoyed this video Jeff!

That is a great video idea. Thanks John
Camo plants are responsible for sparking my recent interest in plants
That is amazing! Which one do you have?
Memori corisi, ruby tineke, calethea musacia. Couple Dracaena Florida beauty saplings too if those count. 🤙
@@Uathankicks I forgot my calathea musaica
@@EverythingPlants thank you for the replies, love the channel, keep it up! Who even knows what counts as “Camouflage” anyways!
i love your diy humidity dome. i've been really searching for something tall enough... this is smart

Great vid! Really interesting plants.
Thanks Kootify
Love this camo video! These plants are all gorgeous! The only one I have is the Tineke ficus. I have an aglaonema marie and it's sort of camo too.
Oh wow! That's awesome. Aren't aglaonemas great houseplants?!?!?
Dieffenbacia and Agleonema are attractive indoor plants. It is easy to grow and seems to brighten atmospher of the indoor. 🙂
I agree! Thanks Guppy mom

I love the Homalomena Selby, i had 2 small plants 2 years ago and also killed them not knowing that they don’t like to dry out, like at all! Lol
Well we learned our lesson 🤣
I just got my first aglaonema pictum tricolor! Tiny little 3 leaf plant with one of the leaves feeling a little crisp after the shipment. Going to use your humidity chamber hack to try to rehab it!
It will definitely appreciate the extra humidity. Just remember to open every so often for air flow

Do you have some grow lights?
I just brought home a homalomena Selby that looks like yours and also has me questioning if it's the camo one...
The timing of this couldn’t be more perfect. I was just joking about camo plants!
Nice!
👍 For E.P.'s CAM💚UFLAGE PLANTS!!!
Yay! Thanks
I’ve been eyeing the homalomena “emerald gem” for a bit… just not sure that it’s add much to my collection.
Hey Kris. It's a balance for sure...of wants vs needs and what it provides to your collection, like you mentioned.
Sorry to be off topic but the one with purple leaf undersides near your left elbow keeps catching my eye. What's it?
It's the alocasia Cuprea!
@@EverythingPlants Thanks. Have you gotten any boquila trifoliolata and let the same vine climb structures of different shapes and colors at once?
Now that I have the Selby, I see the difference between yours and mine. I think you're plant is different.
Could it be a hybrid that he has? Is that a thing?
@@ladylove34 possibly. Mine finally died. So sad 😞
@@planttherapy1860 Oh no, I'm sorry. I just bought the camouflage! I hope it lasts 😬

Fund to get Jeff a new chair

I have had other people say that giving them to schools, day care centers and even conservatories as they may be able to use them.
