Welcome back Sr. Anyway, talking bout VS2022 could you make a comparison between these two? CVS2022 & Pinnacle Studio 25. There's users out there moving on to the next PRO level editing, I myself am also interested. Lastly do you know why Corel has abandoned MotionStudio3D? It hasn't been updated in a decade or so, is so sad they just let it go obsolete. It would be amazing if whole software was incorporated into VideoStudio, I mean they already have the layout with the 3D tittles there from CMS3D. :)

Hi, I have searched everywhere on how to enlarge the size of the controls in 2022 version. They are so small it is hard to see. Your videos show a normal easy to read/see size for all of the controls. Please help on how to change this setting. Thanks!

Your videos are a huge help man, the issue I'm running into is within OBS and Corel my audio and video are in sync but once I upload them, they fall out of sync. Idk what to do!
Like when im reviewing the project within VideoStudio it is synced up but right when I render it into a file it falls out.
What video formats are you using? MOV is horrible with VS, Some formats like AVI or MOV are just wrappers, meaning in contains audio and video separately.
@@gripps2211 initially I tried to check “same as project settings” and then I tried again as an MPEG-4 and I made sure the profile matched what it was recorded in.
Welcome back. I was wondering if there is anywhere to get a codex plugin for VideoStudio Pro or if I can make a custom one somehow in the Project properties section. I have a RUclips channel called super8tovideo. I show people how to digitize their old analog films. Meaning 8mm and Super8 home movies. The problem is the scanner that digitizes the film frame by frame outputs a MP4 file in 1440 by 1080P at 20 frames a second. VideoStudio Pro has no profiles that match these files. So when I export the files it changes the files no matter which setting I choose in share. None of the selections have 20 frames a second. They all add extra frames when exported because they change it to 24 Frames per second or thirty or more depending on export setting I choose. It doesn't speed or slow the video down it just adds frames and instead of 20 frames a second played it adds 4 duplicate frames to 24 frames to the output for example. Then the video plays at 24 frames a second. Visually this makes no difference but when someone tries using other programs like Topaz video upscaling it looks (meaning Topaz upscaling) at the frames to the right and left to help in the upscaling process. Since some of these frames are duplicates it does not do as good a job as it could. I created a custom setting in VideoStudio Pro under Settings/Project Properties/AVCHD but it would not let me create 20 frames a second. The best I could choose was 23.976 Frames and when I export using this profile in same as project settings it exported in the M2T format. Topaz labs does not recognize the M2T format. Since it adds extra frames and each frame takes my computer 10 seconds a frame to upscale the extra frames adds hours to films I want to upscale. There is another program called Neat Video that cleans up digital noise and it also looks at the frames nearby it also take seconds per frame so these extra frames cause Neat Video problems as well. I want to know if there is a solution to this problem so I can show my subscribes how to solve this problem as well. Thank You for your time Ron of Super8tovideo

The price of 90 EUR is not so high. One question for you. I am creating the hiking videos and when recording the panorama I want to add the name of the exact peak. Hey Gripps I always look to you for advice and any issues etc. I recently purchased the 2022 version primarily for the speed ramping and camera transitions which would hopefully take my videos to another level and they are if it would only stop crashing and freezing every few minutes it’s driving me nuts!! My ultimate 9 version is fine but I need to use the new one helppppp. P.s. I’ve just realised it seems to be whenever I use the new speed ramping or camera transitions? I was on for hours yesterday with barely an issue

quite often video format is wrapped in a container. MOV files are actually and audio file and video wrapped in MOV. This can cause conflicts when doing thing like transitions, try splitting audio from the clip see if it makes a difference. Also try unchecking audio while scrubbing.

@@gripps2211 sorry i'm back again. I have tried all you said in your latest video regarding freezing etc to no avail. I managed to do a small 4 minute video on AVC/H.264 as will not let me burn it on mpeg 4. It took sometime for this task as it kept freezing etc. I have a link from Corel to "clean up" however it states it may damage my Ultimate x9 version and this is my back up as I have nothing else if that goes wrong too so reluctant to use it. I have a UHD 630 4gb graphics card could this be an issue with Corel 2022 as in not enough? Really sorry to bother you again however I'm desperate and nowhere else to go.

Is there an easier way to remove "ums" and "uhs" and other filler words in VS2022? Rather than carefully snipping out each piece? (Which sometimes you can't do) or adding a tiny blank bit of audio, maybe? Thank you!
When buying the product, do you have to reinstall the software or can you just do an update and be able to open up previous projects onto the new software? Great tutorial btw
You're installing a new version, old projects can easily run in the new version. However no need to un install any old versions.

Do u know if corel videostudio has an effect where a video can be transformed into like by pencil drawing. if you know the music video "take on me" by Aha, that's the kind of look i'm looking for.

I bought a new CVS2022 program and I have a problem rendering in AVC / 264 format, the image plays abruptly. I wrote to the corel website but they are silent. Do you have any idea what to do with it?
Most likely the the audio codec is the cause. If you render with audio any issue is gone than you may have to convert the footage. I use converter factory

@@gripps2211 Thanks Gripps, I've just had a look at your video and, as helpful and informative as it was, I don't think that's going to solve the kind of issues I get with VS.
Here's an axample of something I get every time I edit with VS21 which I didn't get in VS19 or earlier:
I'll put all my files in the timeline (doesn't matter if it's just 1 main track or 1 main track plus other overlays & audios) and start to edit. I'll start to split the track(s), skip forward a few seconds or longer and split again. I highlight the split part and delete it. Everything is fine until I get to approximately 1/2 to 3/4 through the project and I try the same thing. Now what happens is that when I delete the 'split' part of the track(s) the scrubber jumps to the end of the project. I then have to zoom back out and place the scrubber back to the point where I was editing. My workaround is to split the already split track(s) dowen the middle so instead of having just one section of track to delte, I've got two. Now if I select BOTH pieces at the same time and delete, the scrubber stays at that point on the timeline.
This happens EVERY time I edit. I get to just over halfway through the project (and it doesn't matter how long the total project is, it's always at the 'just over halfway through' point) and the scrubber just jumps tp the end of the project ever y time I delete a section of track.
And imy VS21 really doesn't like dealing with text tracks. It's fine to simply add them but to add them and then later on edit them throws VS21 into a fit and it crashes.
It's a real shame because I've been using VS for several years over a few versions and I've enjoyed learning it (mostly from your excellent tutorials!) and I keep kidding myself that the next version will fix all the bugs. But if some bugs get fixed, Corel sem to introduce a whole new bunch each version. I'd like to stay with Corel VS but, in all honesty, I no longer trust them.
Have they fix the old bugs from 2020 and 2022. My program keeps failing on me when I do complicated actions. I wish their was more videos on how to solve crashing issues. I tried contacting the company and no luck. I love everything about the program except the part where it always crash in the middle of editing. I like the video but all I see is videos on what's new and not the major issues the program has. I got a new computer and I always update. I tried everything. Any suggestions?
My 2020 version also crashes occasionally.

You can see all my video that I have done with it on my channel 360 Fearless Adventures if your interested. I want to do more videos for marketing but I'm just afraid that It going to crash to often. I also have had some crashes, I'm using the 2020 version.
There is no way I will upgrade until they can fix previous versions.
2018 worked pretty darn well but they took away some things in there such as animations they would no longer will work in 2018

Its requires an upgrade. Goto share tab click on the DVD disk symbol then Blu-ray tab click on that, a window will pop up.

I have the 2022 on my laptop but wow is it ever glitchy. I hit save lots and reboot lots but this doesn’t fix it. My i7 chip should handle everything Video Studio throws at it but it doesn’t. I searched the net and found others complaining of this very thing in v2022. Everything you do works quite well I see. What could be happening here ?
My Comp is 12 years old core i5, so yours should be no issue. However, just because it looks smooth on my tutorials i too have glitching issues. There were two main thing that caused mine to crash 1. any MOV file 2. audio while scrubbing. I now convert all my files to mp4 and unchecked audio while scrubbing. It reduced the issue a lot but still time to time it crashes. I will also forward your comment to my Corel contact make them aware that 2022 has issues.
@@gripps2211 Thank you, thank you, thank you! My 2022 version was crashing all the time during playbacks and rendering. I couldn't figure it out (neither could Corel support) until I read your comment here about converting MOV files to mp4. It was the MOV files in my videos that were causing the annoying crashing issue. Problem solved using all mp4 files!!!! Thank you so much!!! If anyone is curious, I used VLC Media Player (free download) to convert the files from MOV to mp4.

Yes it does
VS is an amazing program….if all the features work when you buy it. I caution people with existing VS programs from “Upgrading” I had 2018 and upgraded to 2020 and everything worked but when I recently upgraded to 2021 a few months ago something about the shared files download need the masking and motion tracking features no longer work on both the 2020 or 2021 versions and because of the way corral forces you to download portions of the install from the Internet it doesn’t matter if you uninstall the programs or not it will still reinstall them with the features no longer working. I literally had to pull out the disk from my old 2018 version from the store and install that completely separately in order to get a version where these features work. And video studio technicians could not even fix it. So if you’re thinking about upgrading to 2022 don’t if you already have versions on your computer or else you’re going to get some of the same issues I suspect.
When reinstalling there a folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\24.0 rename to 24.0_old. this reloads everything
@@gripps2211 thx Gripps. That was the first thing VS tech support told me to do and they are still not loading. Was there some other step I need to do right after that to force it to load? Do I do that rename first then something else?

PROBLEM: trial version OK. (I made my own video) WIN-10 pro (ver:21H1), i5-7600, 16 GB, 1070 gtx.
I bought the ULTIMATE version (89 EUR).
Installation OK. I'm starting program.
New project click Browse file, OPEN... result: Exit program
Open previous project .. Browse file, OPEN ... result: Exit program.
UNISTALL.. (my directory delete) REINSTALL.. RESTART.. bad again. OK. Bonus file delete.. REINSTALL (bonus disabled).. Start progam.. bad again
I updated and it stinks. Every time I add or change text it hangs up. Reviewing videos it reboots my machine. I have been using it for 6 years and this is the worst update ever. Looking to switch to another editor because this update has made it useless to me.
I found my codex needed to be updated and mov files had many issues.
@@gripps2211 I just let it self install. Had to uninstall 2021 to even get the text to open the editor. They totally screwed up a reliable product and have had no updates to fix it. Never been so frustrated with a product.

That's Corel in a nut shell. 250 transitions to many and crashes galore. Free software is more reliable.
