For years I had been invested in the Boston shoe companies that had gotten me to the Boston Marathon every year (NB, Puma-US, Reebok, Saucony, Topo), and I ignored every other shoe companies. One day, while walking by a running shoe store, I noticed through the window that they had both the Sky Paris and the Edge Paris. For giggles, I asked to try on both pairs. I figured, why not see what all the hype about cadence runner versus stride runner was all about. Anyhoo, I ran around the block in both. Then I ran with the Edge on one foot and the Sky on the other. Then I switched feet. After this experiment, the Sky Paris felt the best for me. Long story short, I used the Sky Paris for the next race and ran yet another BQ. Moreover, my performance metrics showed that I had worked with less effort for the same gain. So, great shoe.
Thx for keeping it real bro. Your disclosure, your bpm on every set and your heavy breathing made me believe your effort. A lot of guys in here they run 22km every day and then they record them after the run and they are fresh as come out of the shower.
@@DaveTheRunner hmm ok🤔and thank you a lot❤️ i have Sky in box (first ASICS shoe ever) for Chicago (close to 3 hours); must run in them now😀… i will survive ☝🏻
I bought the edge paris, its fine. I have about 70ks on the track with them. Im just a little faster in my pbs than you are, so were more or less similar runners. personally I much prefer both the vaporfly 3 and alphafly 3 to this shoe. Was leaning on this shoe for Boston and the upcoming marathon season. I absolutely hated the AF2 (blister city for me) so I nearly passed on the AF3 and thank god I didnt. I also found that I had just a little rubbing on the medial part of my toe in the edge paris.
I wish I got the edge, seems like it would work better for me and my running 🏃🏻 AF3 has just a nicer ground feel for me and I like the arch wasn’t as bad. Good luck for Boston! I have a mate who’s also running.
I do, by far the best racing shoes i’ve tried. Tho i have yet to try the Alphafly 3 but im just loving these Paris editions, i might just stick with them. Edge Paris feels like a higher stack Vaporfly 2. Last week I just got the Adios Pro 3(my first adidas shoe), i really love them, feels way more comfortable than Sky Paris but the drawback is that they’re heavier. I might just stick to the Sky Paris for GoldCoast marathon. 😅

That’s awesome mate, great idea trying them both out. Congrats on the BQ 🎉
@@DaveTheRunner Cheers, Dave.
Love that you give the caveat upfront that everyone is different when it comes to shoes but here’s what you experienced. Great stuff
Too many reviewers out there hyping up shoes that don’t work for everyone.

You’re welcome 🤝🏼
Was genuinely wrecked after that session 😂
My second favorite shoe after the Endo Elite!
Same I reckon
Would you recommend doing a marathon in them? Ive done all my training in superblast 2 last 10 weeks. Mara in 13 days.
I would recommend trying them in training before making that decision
Hey, Dave! How are you doing? Another amazing video! Thanks for sharing, mate!
Cheers from Brazil!
Cheers bro 🔥
Great review. Alphafly 3 and Endorphin Elite still seem to be the consensus top marathon super shoes but Paris definitely in the mix.
Agreed, the endo elite is just such a great shoe, for me it tops them all
@@DaveTheRunnerwhat is the difference between Elite and Sky? Or what is better on Sky?
@@markoljustina elite is wider and more stable. For me personally I feel the elite is a bit more protective for the longer stuff.

Thanks for the video. How do you think the Sky Paris stacks up against the Vaporfly 2 for a road 5k?
VF2 is outdated shoe
It's lighter and punchier IMO
@@DaveTheRunner Oh wow. I thought the Vaporfly 2 was as aggressive as they get. Thanks.
Have you tried Edge Paris? I seem to pick those for sessions/intervals while I use the Sky Paris for long run with workout in between.
I haven’t tried the edge. That’s pretty cool you have them both! Must really love them haha

What app are you using to track the working and rest time?
I use my coros watch where I program the workouts in
You like these over the Saucony pro4?
I do
@@DaveTheRunner Yea so do I. I actually think last year pro3's are better than pro4's. The pro4's are solid but aren't as good as the aforementioned.
Any idea on super shoes for people with flat feet? Or do people just push through in neutral shoes come race day?
I would recommend the saucony endorphin elite possible, I’ve got quite flat feet and they feel good
@@DaveTheRunner did you use a different inner sole? I tried the endorphin speeds as a trainer and wasn’t confident in that pair
@@samuelhickstube the elites aren’t similar to the speeds. They have their own feel and shape
However no supply in market yet
Sold out everywhere 🥲
These did not feel good for me as they were just too unstable.
I can see where you are coming from. When I’m jogging I feel this
virtually nowhere to be found, out of stock in EUROPE :(
Same for Australia 🥲
They are available in yellow/black on the Asics site. I got mine two weeks ago.
@@rainerblessing923 no EU site that they ship to SLOVENIJA.
