First the rice is mixed with salt ,sodium bi carbonate(baking soda) solution and it is dried , then it is preheated to become plastic like material (ordinary unseasoned rice cannot puffed like this) now the temperature of that pan is about 200 degree C. continuous mixing is required. Then it is fried in a highly heated (now the temperature is about 500 degree C) pan containing sand (the sand is specially obtained from river side, it is clean and very nice) .The man who is working in this place must have a skill to mix the rice with sand and sieve (separate ) it before it is chard. The buffed rice is very hot and it cannot packed as soon as it is fried. so it is thrown on the floor to attain the room temperature. then it is packed. The place where it is prepared is above the normal temperature (about 60 degree C).we cannot even ware a shirt in this place.when compared with other food item it very hygienic because it is fried in a high temperature. No micro organism will live in the temperature more then 130°C. please honor the hard work ,Technic and the traditions .

Hey, ters..... Y'all acting like you have never eaten jelly. (jello) before. Ever read the ingredients for gelatin?. My pack just says "Beef Origin". It used to be one of the only factories that produces your food, that you can't take a public tour of. Skin, hooves, bones all left to break down into a festering pool of gelatinous goo that everyone gobbles down without a second thought. Just add color & flavour. Yet the concerns lean heavily toward these people throwing a bit of rice around?. I don't eat puffed rice much, looks awesome the way it's made here though. Very fascinating. And as for jelly /jello /gelatin, I swapped to the "Kelp Origin" kind.
If you don't like animal based gelatin just because they're boiling the non-meat animal parts, you better not eat any form of meat broth either. Those are made from all the same bones and cartilage that gelatin is made from. And there's nothing more safe or sterile about using kelp, just so you know.
