Thank you for this lovely overview, it's the only video I managed to find about it that really focusses on the details of that watchface and the gives me such a good look in multiple lighting situations. Plus commentary is also thorough and honest. Top marks :)
I have the Presage 'Negroni' and it's absolutely beautiful they way it catches the light, the dial looking black at some angles and then flashes red when the lite catches if from another. Worth every penny, though I would have been willing to pay a bit more for a sapphire crystal.
Great review Jason. That's a classy piece! Edit: I agree that the hardlex is dissapointing. The motif of this watch screams sapphire. Considering I'm getting sapphire on solid microbrand pieces as cheap as sub-200 these days, I really think they need to include it here.
True, haha! I don't think any watch I'm interested ever sells for MSRP, but it is a good benchmark to compare them with I guess. Thank you for watching :)
I did get one from Watch Gecko during a sale, I doubt they have it anymore. Unfortunately, that is the only that I have experience with, however, I will say it will look great on one!
I typically like 40mm on my 7.5in wrist--but love this dial. I am concerned about scratching the crystal and wish it was Sapphire...Will take a look at some local shops and see how it looks. Great video thanks.
I was just looking at this watch on their website selling for $425. I might buy one closer to the holidays when watches generally are on sale. I wonder how this would look with a black strap and where I can get this type of strap in black.
Great review. I just bought the SRPE43 which is the blue version and absolutely love it. Did you swap band halves because I believe they originally come in a "flipped" configuration?
Nice pick up! Yes, I swapped the band halves. Most of the Japanese watches on deployant straps come "flipped", but I assume it is just normal for them :) I tried it that way, but I just can't get used to it :P
I have the SRPE43, which is the blue dial variant. I think I paid $349, and totally worth it. Love the size. Dial work is excellent. Have no problem with hard lux. Domed sapphire would add to the cost and could introduce a bluish tint.
Hello, great channel. We have similiar taste, so please review CASIO EDIFICE EFV 130D 2AVUEF, if I measured correctly it is 41mm without crown but it wears like 40mm because it is diver so it has thick bezel and less glass... Ironically, its little cousin EFV 100D 2AVUEF which is smaller in size wears bigger beacuse of very thin bezel, please review that diver, you will enjoy reviewing it... thank you very much

Thank you so much for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the review :)

The dial is unreal and it is a great watch and a great size. I agree, if this had a sapphire crystal it would be perfect!

Totally agree! They did put sapphire into the King Samurai which was nice to see, hopefully they continue the trend. But who knows.
A brilliant idea: don’t pay retail price.
A gorgeous watch and a very good review.

I love the negroni. Bought it some days back. Wanted to know if I want to use a melenese strap which one to buy. Do let me know. Thanks in advance.

Yes, sapphire would have been much better! It’s great in person let me know if you see one.
Great review my friend. I might pick this watch up
Glad you enjoyed it. If you do let me know your impressions.

Yes - you can definitely get a black strap for it and it would look great with one. You might also consider a Milanese bracelet for it!
Whats the name of the watch you compared it with at the beginning?
The Seiko Sarb033. One of the best watches ever made :)
This is stunning. Nice review. 🤩🤩
Thank you, I really like this one!
Is this the same thing as the Seiko sary 163?
Yes, it is. I think that is the JDM version reference, but it is the same watch!
@@JustWatches1 thank you! BTW I enjoyed watching your great informative video. Thanks!

@@JustWatches1 thanks. Yeah, I just swapped the band halves too and it feels much better!
Do you think this will fit a six inch wrist?
Yes, this is a good size for a six inch wrist!

Only if the AR coating has a blue tint. Grand seiko has non blue tinted AR coating and it looks stunning. It likes like there is no crystal
Yup, I think Seiko calls it SuperClear Coating. It is on my Sarx055, it basically makes it look like the crystal fell out lol
Nice, the blue looks beautiful as well, I'm glad you are enjoying it :)
That's a beautiful watch.
Agree, I'm drawn to red dial watches it seems.

Thank you, I have never seen this model and it looks great. I ordered the white dial to review - coming soon!
Perfect Size Dress Watch...
Yes I’m so glad Seiko started making these in smaller sizes!
And it is gorgeous in person...
yes, hard to capture this one in video
crystal might not be sapphire but atleast it looks stunning
I know I wish it was sapphire!
looks like a hockey puck
You realize 50M is 150 feet deep?
Yes, and you could probably swim in this (if you took it off the leather strap), but Seiko does 100m on many of their other dress watches.
beautiful but too small
Fair enough :)
Muy elegante y deportivo al mismo tiempo.
Gracias, estoy de acuerdo. Gran esfera. ¡Gracias por ver! (from Google Translate)
Just bought one for a gift
This will make a mighty fine gift!!
