Nice to see someone else trying the AA80E!! I’m currently doing a 2JZ swap on my Lexus RCF and also planning on using my 8speed transmission. I already have the adapter from srd and 2JZ currently being built at 800-1000hp.

We done this 9 years ago have the adapter in stock if you need. Holds 950hp/700 ftlbs.

That’s the Forum post I found (mentioned it in the video) but then the car was totaled and never saw anymore on this. Then I saw an IS300 you guys tested with and that seems to now gone dark also.
Currently working with HALTECH to get this to work, have a guy here in the US using an ISF trans with my wiring pin out and a NEXUS R3. We just had to PWM the solenoids to get them to work smoothly down low. Was easy to get WOT with them setup like an A340 “on/off” but kicked like a mule at any shift point or throttle percentage 😂 but we’re getting closer!
@@PureFunction keep at it we could get all the box working mint holding the power but couldn't get the smooth change to slip between each gear at low speed driving.
Pwm 300hz is the solenoids

@pureFunction what TCU do you plan on using to control the transmission?
I think the two bolt holes in the bottom of the AA80E bell housing are for exhaust hangers. I have them on my L110F which is also mated to 2UR.

Not sure where my original comment went. What are your thoughts on the 6R80? PHR makes a billet bellhousing and converter. Any thoughts about this route instead?
I have thought about that, if haktech offered full control of it I’d go that route no questions asked

Well if this fits in the supra with no mods and minor grinding to the transmission case, then it should fit a US Lexus GS 300 / Japan Toyota Aristo JZS161 the same.

How much RWHP/RWTQ do you think this transmission can handle in stock form? Can you upgrade the internals if necessary? Thanks.
AA80e can support a maximum of 550Nm of torque before it needs internal upgrades or a beefy trans cooler.
I've slipt one at around 650-700ft.lbs torque.

Wasting your time, ZF8 works far better.
I have yet to see one work perfectly in the mid to low range (WOT yes) also haven’t seen one that can be 100% controlled by one ECU (MOTEC, synced, HALTECH, etc.) like we can with the ISF AA80E
@@PureFunction SRD have done a few now, two mates have them and absolutely love them, drives like oem on syvecs, I know a guy that did the ISF box recently and he isn’t happy with it, not seen one work right yet.
