THANK YOU! I am a little less stressed about the next project in DMD class having this very helpful video! You're awesome! Looking forward to watching all the others you have. Happy Camper here!
this was extremely helpful to me, I've trying to learn proper shading for a while and this video really taught me how to guess shading level from the object itself (rather than just guessing)... that's because the image itself was there on the video. thanks
Thank you much. I dont have good hand control yet. Always erasing! I will practice cups. I draw everyday for hours. Trying to get better. Thanks again you ROCK 😊
Me; I’m in art right now but when the teacher shared the screen the sound didn’t work and the subtitles lagged so some people in my class including me watched it separately
I think you should mention reflective light. I think that that is what many people get stuck at. Like ,I’ve done all the things right but you are unsatisfied with your shading. That’s because you don’t take reflective light into consideration. Because shading is easy but understanding why you are shading it is the most important.
Thank you for this tutorial! For me, it's much easier to get the symmetry correctly if I turn the paper upside down: otherwise our eye tries to "draw" the shape of a cup automatically - turning it makes one see the differences between both sides easier (that works at least for me). Cheers from Germany
I have no problem drawing cups, cans or pots... but handles have always screwed me up... in particular those broad flat profiles like on jugs or urns, it's those transitions from top to inside and keeping the whole profile correctly inline - All my handles look skewiff.
Do you sharpen the pencil you're using with a sandpaper thing to get that chisel tip, or does some lead come that way? I'd think that the shape of the lead has a lot to do with the way the shading turns out.
I want to know about the types of pencils which are used to draw? I know there are many types of pencils for different types of of drawings so please help me.

Yup
My teacher tried to show this by sharing the screen, but it lagged so some people had to watch it separately
Couldn’t be more right
How did you know °-°
Yes
Yes great exercise. Elliptical shapes are hard to do, especially vertical or angled. Shading can be so subtle but we still see it!
Great tutorial!
Excellent. I've always had trouble with the lip of the cup. The secret is in the shading. Thank you.

Thank you Wei . Because of you I started drawing things with zero talent:))
Awesome. That's how we all start=)
I have a hunch that those with " talent" were people whom had a passion for art, and had the patience to listen in art class.
Jeremy merkt or they were people who just really knew how to draw right off the bat. It happens. I’ve seen it myself.
thank you so much with my homework best artist

What mechanical pencil do u use?
I asked he doesn't say
It's just a lead holder. The lead is 4B and 6B
TheSuperSisters it looks like a staedtler clutch pencil.either a lumograph or mars. he's said in another cideo that staedtler's are his favourite.
