C’mon Noddy, write a few new songs with Jim & record them with Dave & Don & a great producer in a great studio before it’s too late! It’ll go straight to number 1 again! You can still do it! Every Slade fan wants this so much! Keep on rockin! 🎸 🎤 🎸 🥁
He's right about the live thing...I saw them open for someone, and can't remember the headliner. SLADE was so good they stole the show. I am very attentive at music events, so for them to make me forget the headliner is amazing. I can still picture Noddy standing there screaming louder and more melodically than any other rocker around. And yes, I did FEEL THE NOISE, and yes I DID say GOODBYE TO JANE!!!😁😎
Noddy was one of the STRONGEST most powerful voices in Rock History. I remember hearing Noddy's live voice on SLADE ALIVE on KEEP ON ROCKIN' & I thought he was INCREDIBLE ......& I remember the BURP .....As a kid I would fall off the chair....lol (Paul)
My daughter when she watched the old comedy series the Grimleys saw Noddy playing the headteacher .when he was strumming a guitar in the series she says that actor does that pretty well for an actor me and the Mrs looked at each other and smiled, later playing Slade to her quoting sales stats.
Love the grimleys, I was a mere teenager when that was first aired and blown away by noddys performance. Thats always stayed with me, i think of it from time to time. I want the complete series if its yet avalible. I think its not easy to contain as nobody would buy the rights because of the music. I think series one was released on vhs years ago.
I remember Slade as a young kid in the 70's when we used to go school Discos. You either liked Slade or Sweet (i liked both ) but you didnt let on to your mates 😂. Some kid at the disco had a glow in the dark marker pen and he'd write Slade or Sweet on ya arm, which at the time we thought was pretty cool lol .🎶
Love everything about nodds, Hes one of the nicest of people in music ever. Always happy & humble about opening up to anything. A pure delight to listen too who always loves talking about it. And i will say this: If theres 2 iconic heros in music from 2 different bands of the 1970's that i know would be lovely to meet/talk with, would be noddy and robert plant. Two very delightful down to earth iconic legends.
Fantastic! Love this thank you 🙌 I saw his show last year in Manchester and met my life time hero for the first time after the show to fulfill a lifetime ambition! KOR Nod! 🤞🙌
I met Dave Hill a few times and we would discuss a lot of things. Noddy wrote all the songs so that he got all the royalties. Slade was one of my very favourite bands so knowing a few things the media doesn't know was fascinating !!!!!! When shade had disbanded I suggested to Dave he take up window cleaning !!!!!!
Interesting that dave a Jim stayed with their wives from the early days, but no mention of dons maritial situation did he ever find someone after the loss of his girlfriend .
