I have a sand cloud towel but I was lucky enough to get it on sale at a small shop. I have been wanting another but just couldn’t justify spending the money. Thank you for sharing this comparison! I’ll be keeping my eye out for another brand now!!!
Thanks for taking the time do all these reviews and showing all the flaws and differences. I bought wet cat ones and while okay not happy with their wear. Thanks!!!
Thanks for the review! Sand cloud has a great Black Friday sale. I was able to purchase them for $23 a piece. Definitely recommend buying on sale. The other towels you reviewed are out of stock Or almost the same price as the Sand Cloud on sale. I would never pay $50 for a towel.
Is there a reason you guys didn't do a head to head with Lombardi and Sand Cloud to see how much they would actually absorb off of something where you are applying friction because you want the item to dry? I want my towels to actually be towels when the time comes for it. I would also like some info on how quickly each dries out, if you ever decides to expand on your video.
Seems like the ones that repel water are not going to be great towels... last thing we need is something that just smears the water around. These are supposed to repel sand but not water - they are marketed as quick drying, but we need it to remove the water from us to dry us off! I would take these results and reverse them for best towel ranking.
Hey thanks for chiming in! The claim of the sand cloud towel is that it will repel water until you press the towel against your skin/water so that it repels sprays of water and absorbs water when you wipe it from your body. They are quick drying due to the weave and they definitely repel sand for the same reason. Hope this helps!
Great video, my daughter has Teema (may not be spelled right) which is a Sand Cloud knock off. Now she wants to see how her towels react to that water test. I suspect she'll be doing that tomorrow. LOL
@Granny Squares & Wagon Wheels Thank you! I'm going to look into Teema and I'll put it on my list for the next Sand Cloud knock off video. It's a fun, easy test to see if they behave similarly. Let me know how it goes!
Prior to watching your video, I purchased the Smyrna, a brand called Mirena Turkish Beach towel and a Cacala soft Turkish Beach towel. Waiting for the to be delivered hoping they all work well.
I went looking for the Lombardy towel but can’t find it, the link you share in the description is only for the red color, any chance you could link to the store or post more colors? I also love blue ☺️
Thanks everyone for watching! Let me know what you’re using for a beach towel and whether or not you’ve thought about buying a sand cloud towel and why! 😁🏝🏖👙🩱
Here’s what i found: Turkish Beach Towels 100% Cotton, 39 x 69 Inches, Pre-Washed, High Absorbent, Quick Dry, Soft, Pestemal and Turkish Hamam, Bath Towels for Sand Free Beach, Gym, Spa, Pool, Travel, Massage (Yellow) www.amazon.com/dp/B096JXNSWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KT29R3C5Z7HHJMEJQGNE looks like if you go under Lombardy homes seller page there are some options this yellow towel is closest to what i show here
Why would you want a towel that repels water? Also, the difference may be due to whether or jot it was pre-washed or treated with some kind of wrinkle-free finish to look good.

There’s two sides to the towels. An absorbent side and a repellent side.

Apparently your review wiped out Amazon. Lombardy is not available thru the link provided 😞
Thank you for all the info! Of course the lombardy is no longer available 😢

I cannot find any Lombardy towels ☹️ I believe they are out of business? Do you know? They are no longer available on Amazon. Thank you
Ditto! Any idea where we can get one?
I think they are called teema towels
I got two towels very thin but Turkish n two for 9.99 on sale 29.99 reg price
Have you tried the Demmex brand? I tried others and the Demmex ones are so much softer, plush and absorbent. I paid $22 per towel.
All I’d like to know is, are they as absorbent as SC and are they as fast drying.
I can’t find Lombardy towels on Amazon (unavailable). Do you have another source for them? Thx.

@@momwithaplan Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, this towel is also currently unavailable.
@@jenniferbracher5128 looks like red is available right now. I'm going to do a deep dive and see if I can find them on another site.
@@momwithaplan any luck finding them?
Very helpful video
That probably was not lint sewn in, but where the weft thread ran out and they had to tie in a new thread.
Where did you buy the Lombardy towels? I can't find them anywhere.

There are 2 sides to the towel, a repellent one and a super absorbent one.
Please do a smell test after five days of use 👃🏻
appreciate your review... :) unfortunately lombardy is currently unavailable...
❤
I hate that they all have fringe/tassels. No thanks.
Do the other brands also donate 10% of profits to marine conservation?like Sand cloud does?
No but you could buy one that's $20 less and donate the difference. They can do that because of the higher mark up. 10% is likely about $4.
@@fbiagentfrank Excellent idea!
I don't like the tassles
Some of the ones with tassels are annoying. However i think the Lombardy one is the least annoying because they’re tight and not loose.
Immediately turned this video off from the baby.
