The organizers have announced the TT will be a 100k CX through the water & deep alkaline mud at Burning Man. Start time 18:00. Awards in the parking lot at Bruno’s.
Sounds like a blast 🎉
lol
😂😂
Yippee 🎉🎉
Almeida, not Ayuso.
not Ayuso, Almeida!
WHAT A FANTASTIC TEAM PLAY WAS OUT THERE! It was truly good to watch Stage 9. What delightful to see Roglic responding himself to Evenpoel.
No matter what Almeida does, it’s still hard to know his name…
What a shame! GCN should be better than this
Joao is Joe in Portuguese and that seems to throw people. Almeida is just as common like , Costa,Souza, rego, raposa, Silva ,Oliveira etc with all football stars coming from Portuguese speaking countries whether benfica, sporting, porto, Brazil,or several African countries it wouldn't be such a tongue twister. Joaquim aghostinho is our legend from 70s-80s can you imagine:) the rhino was his nickname so that or bib number probably be safest bet. No foreign language is easy but joao almeida is like Joe Smith.
Dear GCN/Eurosport, this is not right. Please give the man his due.
Since Eurosport doesn’t know the riders names… I’ll stop watching these highlights and stick with the ones from Lanterne Rouge.
I hope the individual TT will start & finish in broad daylight, so to speak 🙄
Haha yes. About time for a proper test of truth. I think JV will take it
@@secretagent86 I hope he will 😌
It looks like even though Almeida made third place at the Giro, you brits dont count him to overall GC battle...
Bota lume 🔥 João 😊
Wow he got third at the giro when there were only 3 guys really going for the gc. Impressive
Unfassbar genial tolle Leistung von Kämna
It was João Almeida and not the Ayuso who jumped away from the favorites group, contrary to what the commentator mentioned. No video of the fight of the leaders on the last climb. And there was no stage classification on the video, contrary to all the other stage videos...
GC Kuss continues!
All I know is Geoffrey Soupe is a legend
great edit with those hi-res still photos!!! congrats to post.
Rooting for Kuss to take the GC 'til the end of the tour
Great job for with these highlights - much better than what you did for Le Tour de France in July :)
Almeida never gets the respect that he deserves, but he will get it, just wait!
Great opening shot of the riders going over the dam at Embalse de Alfonso XIII
Not a race related comment. Your choice of music is absolutely brilliant.
Nice ride Amanuel 👍👍🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷
Not Ayuso it was Almeida
Doesn't feel like the GC race has really been fizzling so far... hopefully will pick up after the rest day.
This Vuelta is so annoying from organizational point of view. First the 'midnight' time trial, now the second stage they killed by moving the finish to a fictional point on the road. And this because of a bit of mud on the road. The Paris-Roubaix organizers could cancel half of their races were they so overly sensitive
Roubaix is a very different race than a grand tour. Different preparation, different equipment, different riders. This was horrible planning by the Vuelta organizers, but not because of the cancellations. Because of the route/time planning in the first place.
Funny enough, it is the same company that organizes La Vuelta and Paris-Roubaix! Amaury Sport Organisation, also organizer of Le Tour
@@samthebikeriderno one is gonna read that...
Well... if you go down because of mud your Tour is done... if you go down on a one day race... your year isn't. It doesn't have the same consequences!
La Vuelta is interesting because of these stupid steep roads. It sometimes work, sometimes doesn't...
Cross wind drama turned into not so much cross wind drama - as so often happens. It’s the most overrated scenario in cycling.
Lenni back at it 🎉
Nive video, thanks :)
1:10 For a second I was like Peter Sagan, what are you doing in the breakaway?
How so? Who are you confusing him with?
Does anyone know what the soundtrack is on the opener to this, Love it!
We’re the roads really that bad that they couldn’t ride the stage all the way?
Yeah there are photos of the last km, it was a mudfest unfortunately
Not really in the end but I guess they feared it may get wet, and then they would have been really bad (lots of mud and then wet...).
Rain
It was Almeida not Ayuso whit attacked 😮😅 how you committed this mistake?
That's not Ayuso, it's Almeida!
It was Almeida attacking not Ayuso! What is it with the commentaries? 🤦🏽♂️
It is NOT appreciated that TV commentator Karsten Kroon was making negative comments about Chris Horner’s current activities
Congratulations Amanuel hawey 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷💪🏿🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷💪🏿🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷
Min 3:32 is not Juan but it is joão🤦🏻♂️
On the off voice you are calling ayuso to Almeida that make the move on the final climb!
Just some feedback on the editing. Don't like the still images. Could just add video coverage. Makes it look like you couldn't get video rights... 🤭 Just my opinion.
They're taking cues from the Lantern Rouge YT channel who use the still shots extremely well.
@@NicoCrisafulli Nah, if I wanted still shots I'd buy a magazine or read an article online. But each to their own I guess.
Spanish TV doesn’t broadcast full stage, so there is No video coverage from first part of the race.
Can someone explain to me the point of moving the finish line for the GC?
I think that intervening to postpone the general time for 2km on the hill was not very wise. I do support moving the finish in case of bad weather, but today was not so bad and I don't think this action was necessary.
I'm taking about 100 Wonhauer records haha.
Jumbo is on the good juice this season.
Doubt it. They just happen to have the best riders in the peloton. I know for a fact Sepp works incredibly hard to be as good as he is.
Go go Durango Joe!
Hope remco will get the red jersy back in tt
This organisation just makes mistakes after mistakes, now little rain is problem, get all them out
No sunshine there?
Typhoon is on it’s way. Hope everybody is safe. Safety is more priority than racing.

"Before the hostilities begin" made be laugh. A gentlemanly lot, it seems.... looking askance at the young'in that is.
Not exactly Cyclo X conditions the last 2 km . Would of been more fun finishing the full distance finish as advertised.
The mud near the finish looked a lot worse in some pictures earlier but they were able to mostly clean it up some before the end. I understand the precaution but not what seemed like confusion and changes as to where the times would be taken. Agree would have been a lot more interesting if it had ended as planned.
Great commentary. Thanx
Cross wind drama turned into not so much cross wind drama - as so often happens. It’s the most overrated scenario in cycling.
Very disappointed with the gcn coverage of this stage. The only reason the finish location wasn't changed for all riders was due to Money. When Revenue is put above riders safety media like yourself need to speak up and criticize race organizers!
Sepp Kuss should lead team Ineos or EF Education where he could win the Tour as team leader.
He said it so many times he is not interested in it. He just loves cycling. Not the pressure of becoming a team leader. I think Jumbo is giving all the freedom he likes to have without putting pressure at him. You can see how happy he is after every stage.
I think he knows pretty well, he's not good enough to do so. He can shine in this Vuelta because of the luxurious situations of having the two team leaders as the two best riders in the peleton whom the others need to be aware of. Of course the preperation into the season would be completely different with him knowing to be the guy. But I don't think that he really believes he can challenge Remco, Roglic, Vingegaard, Pogacar and the others CG guys. He might very well be a Top 10, maybe Top 5 even as a single team captain. But podium, let alone CG win, I don't see it.
What, no fisticuffs? 😉 🤜🏽⚡🤛🏽
Prediction-GC battles will one day be fought via timed "sections" like some Gran Fondo's. That way the stars won't have to muss up their fur.
Ayuso, not Almeida.
All you little weasels complaining about lack of safety led to this stage finish getting ruined.
No need for that fictional finish line.
only photos? lame
There was video not just photos.
I was looking forward to this on TV but the presenters are shocking compared to every other event. Why they have to make the female presenter look like a tart on a night out is astounding. Having Sean Kelly drone on is also a massive turn off.
The Vuelta is so weird compared to the Tour. Very non-uniform courses, weird road textures, much more narrow in a lot of places, and technical turns. Also, just weird standings and changing of positions that got us to this point.
È possibile ascoltare un commentatore italiano, spagnolo o francese che spieghi cosa succède e che si faccia vedere le classifiche oppure dobbiamo tutti inglesizzarci e non vedere mai nulla delle classifiche?
There’s a GCN Italian, French, German and a few others. Or there was. Not sure if they still exist because I’m better at English. But I’d try those if you want 👍🏻
Guarda che c’è gcn italia…
studia inglese
Ridiculous you changed the finish you don't do this in a race lol, if you have to walk the bike then you walk the bike but the finish is the finish makes the race less legit when you start changing finish lines while THE RACE IS GOING ON! 😂😂😂😂😂
2nd comment
4th gebregziabhier
lol, sloppy.....where is today's classification...I only know that Kämna won before Sobrero
Nonpareil commentary.
really just a poor race logistically.
It seems the organizers creata a cirkus and not a pro race. Every stage it's amateur hour. A bit of mud? How about cancelling Paris. Roubaix forever? Too dangerous for all these misses 😅 Ive lost all interest in this clown show.
Ayuso? Ffs... what a joke
