It will be a lot easier for Vingegaard to ease off the throttle and let Kuss win, than it would be for Roglic ( if, in fact, they can catch him, which isn't certain ). Vingegaard is young, and will have many more chances to win Tours, but Roglic is not. It seems unlikely that Roglic will have many more excellent chances to win his 5th GT, and even moreso to become one of the very few cyclists to win 2 of 2 Tours in a calendar year. If Roglic wins this, only 8 __countries__ will have more GT wins than he does, and that'll be hard to pass up.

hard to believe they are dominating like no other team ever has in the history of cycling doing it solely based on superior tactics, training and marginal aero gains.....and 100% clean (sarcasm...LOL). Even USPostal/Discovery at their zenith couldn't dominate like this and even potentially sweep the podium at a Grand Tour. It's entertaining for sure. But, it's like watching Sosa and Maguire go for the home run record......you KNOW they're juiced and it will come out some day, but it's exciting while it's happening.

@@davidhillman1257 So you don't think than him trying to put the sword to Jumbo-Visma several times (and failing) has anything to do with his collapse? Well, I certainly do. It's the same with Pogacar. They both want to win so bad, that they can't wait until the moment is there. They both seem to HAVE TO attack every single time they can. While this may be entertaining to some, it also has everything to do with Jumbo-Vismas strength, because they're both looking for chinks in the armor of Jumbo-Visma and neither of them has realised yet, that Jumbo-Visma is toying with them and pulling them around the arena by their noses.

It was truly bizarre for the past two weeks. Those paying attention have seen this before -- when Vingegaard rides a GT, he bides his time for the first couple weeks, and then lays waste to the field ( or at least all the other teams ) on the hardest mountain stages. It's a mystery why the media are apparently unaware of this situation. The media also thought Kuss was a terrible time-trialer, and that Evenepoel was going to eviscerate him a few days ago -- but anyone paying attention was aware that just a few weeks ago, Kuss was 14th at the Tour ITT on Stage 16. No Kuss is not Ganna, but he's very competent.
